This Filipino Albertan supports Alberta independence because he recognizes what is happening in Canada. He came here in 1994. He loved Canada. He raised the Canadian flag proudly. But now he says this is not the same country anymore. Government overreach. Fear of speaking openly. Rising costs. Politicians who take more and give less back to the people. Many immigrants came to Canada because they wanted freedom, opportunity, and honest government. When they start warning us that Canada is beginning to look like the places they left, we should listen. Alberta independence is about recognizing the direction Canada is going and choosing a better future before it is too late. I support Alberta independence.

IS ALBERTA GOING TO LEAVE CANADA? OTTAWA - wants to add $10.00 a barrel to the cost of oil in Alberta, so no one will want to invest in Alberta. He says Alberta needs to leave Canada. When President Trump says reciprocal tariffs - he means reciprocal tariffs and if Alberta leaves Canada the tariffs will be zero for Alberta and zero for the USA. They will be wide open for American banks and financial institutions. AND - Alberta won't have Ottawa doing everything they can to shut down oil production for the benefit of Communist China.

The Premier did not say she would campaign against Alberta sovereignty in the event of a referendum. Her answer in French matches exactly what she told me at the UCP AGM: She supports Alberta sovereignty within a united Canada, and she reiterated that position, nothing more. CBC has now quietly updated its article and added a correction stating the Premier did not specify which side she would take. In fact, the Premier also said Thomas Lukaszuk’s petition is a referendum on separation, not sovereignty within Canada. Alberta doesn't want anyone wrapping their arms around us. We want to stop being over taxed, red taped and have actual Rights and Freedoms. If other provinces want to help, then they need to stop being dependent on welfare and voting for idiots that gave us a lost decade, mass immigration and ridiculous taxes.
