This afternoon, I visited our supporter and friend, @francis_isano Ntungamo boy , and other journalist colleagues who were injured by National Unity Platform (@NUP_Ug ) crazy supporters on Kawempe Election Day. Unfortunately, during the chaos, some of our journalists were caught in the crossfire while on duty , UPDF forces were exercising self-defense from NUP stones throwers . I wish them a speedy recovery. The Chief Defence Forces (CDF) Gen @mkainerugaba and key media owners will soon convene to discuss enhanced protection measures for journalists. I strongly condemn the NUP leadership and supporters for inciting this violence and chaos.
