Another disturbing visual has emerged from Kashmir, shedding new light on the scale of the crackdown by General Asim Munir’s army forces in Rawalakot, 'Azad' Jammu and Kashmir. The footage, dated June 7, shows the day when Pakistani security forces allegedly killed 26 protesters during efforts to suppress a growing mass uprising. With internet services cut since June 5, the video is only now coming to light. It clearly captures security personnel firing indiscriminately as unarmed civilians flee for cover—offering a stark glimpse into the extent of Islamabad’s repression in Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

#WATCH | Bradford, UK | Mahmood Kashmiri, Chairman of Jammu Kashmir National Independence Alliance (JKNIA), UK says, "...Pakistan has deployed thousands of its forces into the Pakistan-administered areas of Jammu and Kashmir, and these forces have begun a massacre there... A large number of people and significant quantities of weaponry have entered the Pakistan-administered region of Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan in private vehicles. They intend to carry out a massacre and pin the blame on the Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee. We fear the situation is about to deteriorate drastically for our Kashmiri youth...We want Pakistan to withdraw its forces from our region immediately, as the people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve to live in peace. If Pakistan believes it can subjugate Kashmiris through force and coercion, it is mistaken; even if Pakistan sends all its forces into Kashmir, it will still fail to subjugate the people of Jammu and Kashmir..."

A young man standing in the middle of a demonstration in PoJK screams for help, drawing a parallel between Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Gaza, saying Pakistani security forces are worse than the Israelis; they are looting the resources of PoJK and using that money to kill its very people. These scenes are from one of the ongoing protests in the Pakistan-held part of the Indian territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani security forces have killed over 70 people in the region in the past two months or so without attracting much global attention. There are reports of at least nine fresh casualties from just yesterday, when Pakistani troops opened fire on peaceful demonstrators for boycotting elections which the locals believe are rigged and skewed in Islamabad’s favour.

Thousands of peaceful protesters have come out in Bannu KP to protest peacefully only to be met by bullets & force. A number have been killed and many more wounded. We must understand this is a Aman (Peace) Protest against any military operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Both protesters and military forces are striving towards eliminating terrorism. They must sit down and find a peaceful way forward to avoid these kind of tragic and brutal outcomes. #Bannu #BannuAmanMarch #BannuPeaceMarch #BannuRejectsTerrorism

Horrific scenes from Al-Mukalla in Hadramout today. The de facto authorities banned a peaceful protest, carried out politically motivated detentions beforehand, and deployed heavily armed security forces to block roads and prevent citizens from gathering. Security forces then used force against unarmed protesters, resulting in deaths, injuries, and dozens of additional detentions. Such repressive actions by the de facto authorities and their backers will not deter our people from exercising their legitimate and peaceful right to express themselves.

I’ve got a message for Ali Khamenei and the security forces who shot me in the eye in Iran protest and thought that would silence me: You failed. You can blind a protester. You can fire bullets. You can build prisons. Yes you can kill us, but you can’t kill our revolution. We will end your regime. We will take our country back. The Islamic Republic is basically a factory for executions. Industrial-scale repression. Iranians, with empty hands, stand against a regime armed to the teeth, fighting for one thing: a Free Iran. Masih Alinejad Sima Moradbeigi

Iran's security forces shot protester Farid Ramezani during nationwide protests in Tehran, then targeted his Pahlavi crown tattoo as he lay wounded before killing him with a shot to the forehead on Jan. 8, a source told Iran International. Ramezani, 29, was shot in the back in Tehran’s Ariashahr neighborhood before security forces shot him in the right hand, where he had a Pahlavi crown tattoo, and then fired the fatal shot into his forehead, according to the source. His family was later asked to pay for the three bullets fired at him before authorities would release his body, the source said. Authorities withheld Ramezani’s body for about two weeks and barred his family from burying him in Tehran. His body was transferred to Hashjin in Khalkhal county, in the northwestern province of Ardabil, where he was buried. Families of other victims later visited his grave and held a ceremony there during Nowruz.
