When students who are deaf or mute are compelled to protest for clean water, safe classrooms, and functional toilets, it starkly exposes the complete failure and indifference of this government. Years of neglect, hollow policies, and a lack of accountability have left government schools in a state of disrepair. Education is a fundamental right, yet children are left fighting for basic dignity. What a shame! This is the tragic reality of Mamata Banerjee’s “education model” in West Bengal. In Hooghly district, 68 young students aged 5 to 10 are being forced to sit in classrooms holding umbrellas — because rainwater leaks through the broken roof of their school. Where are the thousands of crores claimed to be spent on school infrastructure? Where is the much-hyped “Banglar Shiksha”? When the government is busy promoting appeasement and photo-ops, this is what children in Bengal endure — a collapsed system, no dignity, no basic facilities. This is not governance. This is criminal neglect.

Today, I bring to the attention of the public the heartbreaking water crisis at Nyankumasi Ahenkro High School in Ghana’s Central Region. Students are forced to depend on an old borehole that is not safe for use or walk miles away just to get water for their daily activities. Using my platform, I am appealing to NGOs, philanthropists, and mineral water companies in Ghana to step in and support the school with a mechanized borehole. Access to clean water should never be a struggle for students. Please tag any mineral water company or organization that can help make this possible for the students.

THIS IS WHAT A BROKEN EDUCATION SYSTEM DOES TO STUDENTS A student who has lost all hope in the education system sat on a silent hunger protest. People pleaded with him. Abhijeet folded his hands. He told him this movement needs his strength, not his suffering. The student still refused to break. That is the part India needs to see. Students are not doing drama for attention. They are reaching a point where silence, hunger and pain become their last language. This is not anger anymore. This is what a system looks like when it has pushed its own students too far.

ARE SCHOOLS SAFE???? WHY ARE CLASSROOMS BEING RISKED IN THE NAME OF FUNDING POLICIES? A teacher enforces a basic school rule… and gets violently attacked because a student couldn’t handle having a gaming device taken away. Let that sink in. When did confiscating electronics become grounds for assault? We can have compassion for students struggling with behavioral or mental health challenges…but compassion without boundaries turns into chaos. Teachers are there to educate, not to become punching bags. Other students are there to learn, not to sit in fear wondering who might snap next. If a student has documented violent tendencies, why are classrooms being treated like experimental holding zones instead of safe learning environments? Schools have a duty to protect everyone…staff and students alike. Support services matter. Mental health resources matter. But so does safety. At what point do we stop pretending this is “just a bad day” and start admitting the system is failing the majority? HOW MANY WARNING SIGNS HAVE TO BE IGNORED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY HURT?

This is a middle school which has only two teachers, who are teaching the students on contractual basis. According to the students rest of the teachers along with the headmistress often remain absent from the school. The school possesses no adequate facilities including doors & windows, desks & mats for students. It also lacks water & washroom facilities for the female students. Building of the school is ruined & is unsuitable to b used anymore. BSAC (BSAC) ,under the banner of BLC, demands for its renovation with all possible facilities & enough teaching staff to ensure the quality education of the students of Greshag. This is required on urgent basis.
