Yes, this problem has always existed, but because the animation of One UI 7 is faster and the animation of One UI 8 is slower, the problem of One UI 8 is more serious. I hope Samsung can solve this problem as soon as possible.

When you own a Xiaomi, Vivo, Huawei, or OPPO device, you'll notice this long-standing problem with Samsung's One UI: the back gesture feels sluggish and is prone to accidental touches. Compared to other operating systems, Samsung’s app return animation is noticeably slower and more laggy. Take a look at this video—it's a comparison between One UI 8.5 and OPPO's ColorOS 16. We have to admit there’s a gap between them. OPPO’s return animation is much smoother and more responsive, with no sense of delay. The animation path is consistent—wherever you open from, it returns along the same path. On the other hand, One UI 8.5 has serious issues. Its return animation path is inconsistent and doesn’t respond immediately. The touch input interferes with page scrolling in the Gallery app, causing photos to shift out of place. As you can see in the video, after a few attempts, the dog’s mouth becomes completely visible. In short, this subtly affects your user experience, even if you haven’t noticed it yet, or if you feel something is off but can’t pinpoint the cause. Now that I’ve identified the problem for you, I hope Samsung addresses it as soon as possible. By the way, this problem cannot be solved through Home Up.

We added a device tool bar to the Codex in-app browser, so it's easier to build and test responsive apps! Now, you can have Codex test your app in different dimensions, so it can fix bugs & improve UI for every device. Just click the 3 dots on the right of the URL bar to use it! As part of this change, we also: - improved the speed of browser use (~30% in my vibe testing) - tightened the animation of the cursor - added a way to hide the composer in full screen mode - fixed a few bugs for browser use in Windows Oliver Tepman and John Nastos cooked on this one! The animation and fluency of iOS 18 have been surpassed by China OS in many aspects.This is an indisputable fact.Please see the comparison below. 1.iOS 18 locks the refresh rate at 80Hz most of the time, which causes you to slide the page less smoothly, which is not as good as HarmonyOS NEXT and ColorOS15 at 120Hz. 2.HOS and COS have parallel animation (OriginOS5 and One UI7 also have it), which means that when you open a new app animation, you won't force another app animation to close, and both can be done at the same time. But iOS 18 can't do this.

This is one of my favorite iPhone hacks and works surprisingly well! Let me share all the steps here so you exactly know how to do this too: 1. Open Settings → Accessibility. 2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Accessibility Shortcut. 3. Select VoiceOver (make sure it has a ✓ next to it). → This lets you triple-click the side button to quickly toggle VoiceOver on or off. 4. When ready, double-tap the Record button to start recording. (VoiceOver will say "Recording.") 7. I downloaded this app so you don’t have to. Politics aside, this is an incredibly horrible app that feels so bad it couldn’t have even been vibe coded. The app launches to a very loud and bright (and compressed) video explaining what the app does. There are 5 different font families throughout the app. The article viewer is just a WKWebView but has a custom scroll view (why?!). Every header is sticky and opaque for no reason. Opening a tab for the first time in a session flashes a white screen. Looking up anything just shows “why the democrats are evil” type stuff about anything that might show the Republican Party as negative. The app constantly freezes. Every button takes about a second or two to load the content before doing anything visually (like switching tabs). This app does not understand safe areas. Without any animation it randomly kicks you into a full screen view asking to enable notifications. The header shrinks slightly when animating for no reason. If the content doesn’t expand beyond the screen height (like a failure to load) then it will just jitter. There is no color contrast. No color even makes sense.

As promised, I open-sourced the app. Introducing Inka: AI Daily Journal for BOOX devices → ← It started as an experiment: a simple screen where you can write anything and the page writes back. I showed it to my son and he absolutely loved it. Then I realized I could turn this into a daily journal app, where you can write down your thoughts and get answers back. It's low-bandwidth communication, yes. But that's a feature, not a bug. I find myself focusing much better while drawing _random_ things on paper. And so I turned the one-screen experiment into a full app. You can configure the AI provider, persona, writing animation, handwriting font & style and even an experimental handwriting synthesis for a more realistic feel. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

After weeks of beta Testflight, our new app Peek Weather, is out 🌈🌙🌞☀️ The app is completely free to use Why did we build another Weather app? Where I live in Oslo, the default Apple weather app does not give correct forecast and I have to rely on a local app to get forecast I don't feel like any weather apps outside, either they are complicated and confusing. Their UI is plain and not clear, it takes time to tell whether an a number is degree or hour or day. I want the app to look like we look at the sky. When we look outside, we see the sky, the sun, and when it's raining, we see rain. At night, we see night sky. I always wish a weather app to look just like that
