The real story of our success in Port Coquitlam isn’t just that we now have the lowest average property taxes and utility fees of any city in the region, it’s also that we achieved it while improving the services people rely on every day. Take curbside glass pickup. Not long ago, residents had to load up their cars and drive to a depot. It was inconvenient, and the result was predictable: too much glass ended up in blue bins or the garbage. So we fixed it. Today, curbside glass pickup is delivered directly to homes that receive City waste services. It’s done efficiently, reliably, and by our own crews. It’s a better service, it’s easier for residents, and it’s the kind of practical improvement that makes a real difference in people’s lives. It’s just one example of what’s possible happens when you stay relentlessly focused on core municipal services, and you’re willing to constantly assess, improve, and adapt. The greatness God placed in me wasn’t ahead of me, it was already in me, just waiting on the right conditions to grow. This type of seed needed encouragement, lessons from failure, character built through struggle and suffering, and most importantly—a deeper connection with my Heavenly Father. And, the way you always keep the most important person for last, the fact that the apogee of his acceptance speech was about Connor.. he had me sobbing, cause of how completely unguarded and raw Hudson is here. The way the emotion is slowly building up, as he is going down that list, his voice cracking a bit, his hands shaking. And he can feel it slowly, tears forming in his eyes, tears he is holding in the best he can. As he is holding that award, so firmly, that last name on his list, the one that felt like an awakening. He is the one he'd want to hold right there (or rather be held 🥺). The one who is more than a scene partner, more than a best friend, his "emotional support person in life", his "soulmate", his anchor even. Cracking a joke or two to try to release a bit of pressure, but when comes the point of saying his name "to the honorary Canadian Connor Storrie, I share this award with you." and not find his face, his eyes, his smile in front of him, the absence is screaming in his chest and the tears are closer than ever. Cause to be here, and for that to happen not side by side, like everything they've experienced for the past year or so, this doesn't feel quite right. "A single person is missing for you, and the whole world is empty" So yes he got through that speech without crying (barely), but not without beautifully opening his heart up to us before, and showing just how much he loves him 💓

Supporting Ukraine isn't really about where you’re from; it’s just about being human. You can feel the strength of my country even from thousands of miles away, but you can’t force that on anyone who just doesn't want to see it. Honestly, there’s no point in trying to talk someone into feeling compassion. If there’s no room in your heart for Ukraine and our people right now, when things are this hard... it’s probably never going to be there. Love and empathy - they’re either there or they aren't. Simple as that.

In the Summerslam vlog he said he didn't know how to feel about Unreal. This is a man who refuses to be seen w/ his dad outside of WWE going on 3 years now. Dom's on record that he's old school when it comes to kayfabe. He'd rather do media and interviews in character, but he's polite enough that if he gets asked something out of character he'll answer it. He kinda weaves in and outta character in interviews where sometimes I think fans don't know when he's being for real about stuff, which I love.

Children enter the world with a singular goal: to be just like YOU. Luckily they’re born with just the right tools to begin this apprenticeship: rapidly developing brains and finely-tuned powers of observation. And this attention to how you do it is how they learn to speak. And move. And so much more. They’re such wonderful mimics, in fact, that they’ll often incorporate nuances that aren’t necessarily part of the lesson. Which brings us to this amazing video shared to TT by thetemplefam. Our hero has returned home after spending a weekend with his grandfather. And he’s learned a new lesson: when one gets out of a chair he does so stiffly and while groaning. I feel you, gentlemen. What a fantastic example of humankind’s great apprenticeship in action.

On this, my birthday… I thank God for a year, though with more challenges than victories, that taught me lessons hidden in pain, in loss, in struggle. For showing me that taking a noble stand, even if it costs you, even when you’re criticized, is far better than living safe, silent, and untested. I Thank God for a year that built grit in so many of us and taught us more about the invincible power of not giving up. For the humbling truth that no one person can save the world but we all can serve in it - especially in small acts. Daily kindness. And maybe that’s how the world heals, not all at once, but a million times over. Thank you for reminding me, in a long year, to hold onto wonder, joy and even fun - as defiance, as resistance, as restoration in the long fight. Today, I was in one of Geneva's parks when suddenly a plane flew overhead. Because of the trauma I experienced in Gaza, my first instinct was fear. For a moment, I thought it was going to drop a missile on us. Then, a few seconds later, I remembered that I am in Switzerland now, and that I am safe. War changes people in ways that are difficult to explain. Even when you leave, some parts of it remain inside you. My body may be here in Switzerland, but my memories are still in Gaza.
