How to switch from FSD to AP to FSD while driving without having to stop the car. I love FSD but sometimes I prefer AP for highway driving. Mainly because FSD does not yet understand HOV lanes, so I find myself switching to AP when I will be on the highway for an extended period of time. The issue with this is you can easilly go DOWN while driving (FSD to AP) but you cannot come up UP without stopping the car (AP to FSD). My fix for this is create two identical profiles for yourself, but one of them has FSD enabled and the other has AP enabled. This video showcases me using that, and shows a kind of funny bug that I didn't notice until later. When you switch from FSD to AP by changing profiles you get the FSD visuals while in AP (until you disable and re-enable it). I hesitate posting this for a bunch of reasons, but I think it's good to just be transparent about everything. I love to highlight all of the incredible things that FSD does, but I also think it's good to talk about any issues that it has currently. In my opinion the E2E on the highway needs some major changes. This clip was from my drive yesterday, and it is without a doubt the most dangerous situation that FSD has put me in. Yes, I am aware that it is FSD Supervised - everything that happens in the car is ultimately my responsbility. I just was wanting to see what the car would do, and I was hoping that it would make a better decision to be honest. Let me know what you think.

$TSLA 🇰🇷 BREAKING : I just experienced FSD (Supervised) for the first time in Korea. The vehicle is Model X and the FSD version is *V14.1.4. We have yet to see any official cases of V14 being applied outside of the United States and Canada. I've just completed my first FSD run for about an hour. (I've experienced about 10,000km of FSD in the U.S.) Except for the parking lot, there was never a case where I intervened during the FSD drive. The first impression of the FSD that works in Korea is that it is very amazing and a great achievement of the Tesla AI team. Although there was one case where I went off the road without following the navigation, the FSD thought to itself and drove on the right path. The overall experience in Korea was very good, such as turning left, turning right, U turn, joining lanes, and changing lanes. It's kind of like... an American driver driving in Korea on an international driver's license. If more data is generated in the future and the number of users increases, higher achievement of FSD in Korea is very much expected. I can't wait for more people to experience FSD in Korea! (Tesla Korea is a HW4 vehicle that purchased FSD and will update the FSD (Supervised) in the future for vehicles suitable for VIN number 5or7.

FSD V14.2.1 - Turns around for an accident! 🚨 To say that FSD impresses me everyday would be an understatement. I’m increasingly confident in FSD and let situations play out I never would have before. Last night my wife was yelling at me about this SUV speeding through a parking lot. It was pretty obvious they were going to try and exit pit lane ahead of me. No problem. But then they panicked stopped. FSD handled it fine. My wife was full of rage at the idiot though. I don’t get road rage anymore on FSD. I’m just chill.

Forget Chuck Cook UPL, it's the Devin's simple right hand turn that FSD needs to master first. I am blown away that software as good as FSD can make mistakes as simple but devastating as this. This is the second time in less than two weeks that FSD has tried to pull infront of a vehicle on a VERY SIMPLE right hand turn. The car drove pretty much flawlessly all day today (3~ hours of driving) but it ends the day with a move like this and it just takes all the confidence I have with FSD away in a simple move. I understand that the version of FSD we have today is not what will be used in Austin in June, but the fact that FSD is making decisions like this and 'full autonomy' is less than 3 months away - it's a bit concerning to me. I would feel a bit better if a near flawless version of FSD existed 'in the wild' for several months before Austin happens, but that's just me. Tesla Model 3 HW4 FSD 13.2.8 Tesla AI Ashok Elluswamy

Chris Dirty Tesla showed an example of FSD V12 not responding to a ball being thrown in front of it. However, he didn’t test with FSD v12.6.4 and he admitted that in the comments. This version is very different than 12.3.6 and other previous versions. It’s more of a “v13 lite” than anything else. Those who have it know that it’ll stop for squirrels crossing the road. Here are some tests I did with a similar ball using FSD v12.6.4.

Tesla FSD V14.3.3 drove me around all day through the very busy streets of downtown Toronto. It handled bikes, streetcars, pedestrians, and buses better than I ever could. It let me use my phone whenever I wanted, far more than I actually needed the whole time. Unsupervised FSD feels like it’s really almost here.

Two reasons I disengage from Tesla FSD (HW4): 1.) I want FSD to take a diff route than suggested. Potential easy solution in the video: Just let me "draw" the route I wanna take. 2.) The full-stop at stop signs. I tap the accelerator when using FSD to do a rolling stop which is way more natural. The NHTSA made Tesla do the full-stop thing in 2022 and it's just annoying, especially when driving through a neighborhood with tons of stop signs. FSD V14.2 Ambulance Fail As always I think it's healthy to show the good and the bad with FSD. Last night when I was out testing 14.2 I ran into an issue where an ambulance was coming from my right and FSD failed to notice it in time. I ended up having to disengage which marked my first and only (non-nav related) disengagement on V14.2. Let me know what you think in the comments.

It's wild that people post videos of themselves blatantly breaking the law like this. Look, obviously, the idea of being able to do something else, like work, while driving is extremely appealing, but you just can't do it like that. Tesla FSD v14 is extremely impressive, but the best data we have right now points to a critical intervention every ~2,000 miles on average. Human drivers crash about every ~400,000 miles on average. You will hurt yourself, or God forbid, someone else, if you keep doing this, as you won't be able to intervene properly. I know some don't believe because they blindly believe Tesla's claim that "FSD is 10x safer than human drivers", but that's the most misleading claim ever. First off, the data is cherry-picked. I do believe that driving on FSD is safer than driving without, but closer to a factor 3x based on the best, not-Tesla-massaged, data. But more importantly, that's 3x safer than FSD plus human. Not just FSD. It is safer because it is supervised by a human paying attention and correcting the system when needed. If you use it like this guy, you are not safer. Period.
