The Cover Up: It is a fact that the 9/11 Commission engaged in a cover-up, and several of its members have said so on the record for more than a decade. But what exactly is being covered up? WTC Building 7: A 47-story building collapsing onto itself because of residual fires and structural damage might seem implausible at first glance, but if the building had been rigged with explosives then why were there no signature outward explosions like you would see in other controlled demolitions and why did the collapse look different from other examples? Also, if the building had been detonated, it would have been the largest and tallest building ever brought down by explosives (even today), and it would have had to be rigged over weeks if not months in absolute secrecy. Insider Trading: Just as with the collapse of WTC 7, the options trading activity on American Arlines (AMR) and United Airlines (UAL) stock in the days leading up to the 9/11 attacks may seem damning at first glance, but is it really? Here are four points to consider: (1) According to the 9/11 commission’s own report, a single U.S.-based institutional investor with “no conceivable ties to al Qaeda” purchased 95 percent of the UAL puts on September 6 as part of a trading strategy that also included BUYING 115,000 shares of AMR on September 10 (worth ~$3.4 million on the morning of 9/11). (2) Similarly, much of the seemingly suspicious trading in AMR on September 10 (resulting in an unusually high put/call ratio of 6.09) was traced to a specific U.S.-based options trading newsletter, faxed to its subscribers on Sunday, September 9, which recommended these trades. It is also worth noting that exactly one month later on November 12th, American Airlines Flight 587 crashed shortly after taking off from JFK, killing all 251 passengers and 9 crew on board. Three days before that crash the put/call ratio on American Airlines’ parent company was nearly 8. So how unusual is 6.09 really and why wasn't this crash also an example of insider trading? (3) Furthermore, the purchasing of stock options does not itself imply a directional bet. More often than not, options are used as part of a hedging strategy, so simply noticing that a company or individual has taken out a short position on a company does not itself imply that his or her portfolio will benefit financially if the stock falls and certainly not by the amount implied from the options purchase alone. (4) Lastly, it was reported by Bloomberg News on September 20, 2001 that insurance companies saw anomalous trading activities as well ahead of the attacks. Specifically, Citigroup Inc., which had estimated that its Travelers insurance unit would potentially have to pay $500 million in claims from the attacks, had about 45 times the normal volume during three trading days before the attack for options that profit if the stock falls below $40. Citigroup shares did indeed fall slightly below that target. While the options trading on AMR and UAL seem less likely to have been insider trading given the explanations provided and the easy traceability of the trades, the multi-step trade on Citigroup’s share warrants a better explanation IMO. That said, one may have already been provided, in which case, the public should be made aware of what it is if that hasn't already happened. What is Being Covered Up? While I’ve reviewed a decent amount of material on 9/11 in the last 24 years and spoken with many primary sources, the best book I can recommend that provides a more believable explanation for the nature and intentions behind some of the cover up can be found in Ray Nowosielski’s and John Duffy’s “The Watchdogs Didn't Bark”. Both authors appeared on the Hidden Forces podcast last September, as has former 9/11 commission member senator Senator Bob Kerry in 2018 and again in 2024. I should also mention that while the authors are well-intentioned, intelligent, and caring people, I’ve also received critical feedback about their interpretation of the facts from people who are in a position to know, muddying my confidence in event their own explanations. This said, it is clear that there was a cover up and that the cover up extends to the CIA and to the Saudi Royal family, but how benign the explanation may be will probably never be known conclusively. Concluding Thoughts If history is any guide, 9/11 is one of many historical events about which endless information will be reproduced, almost entirely in the form of fiction to feed an insatiable demand by the public for meaning-making and entertainment. The more interesting (and answerable) question to me, as someone who lived a mere 15-min walking distance from the twin towers on that day is why after so many years has this topic and others like it been elevated to the highest levels of public consciousness in my lifetime? I have a thoughtful answer, which is informed not only by my investigations into the subject, but also by my own life experience having been black-pilled in the early 2000s on this topic, knowing many of the early players involved in unearthing its details, and having been the creator and producer of a popular daily news program on Russia Today, on which much of today’s most popular right-wing programming would fit perfectly. If I had the time, I would write it all down, and maybe I will one day or perhaps record a podcast series on it. I'd like to, because we are living through the most profound cultural and political revolutions in American history and I don't know how many people truly understand how far back (and where) it all leads...

OF RJ Austin (Vanderbilt Baseball) is an intriguing college hitter in this year's Draft. Carved out an every day role as a Freshman and collected 18 XBH with 43 RBIs, but had a breakout summer on the Cape to the tune of a .327/.426/.376 slash line with 13 RBIs in 29 games. Carried that momentum over into last season where he hit .335/.402/.471 with 14 2B, 5 HRs, 54 RBIs and 28 SB. Earned an invitation to Team USA, but had a strong 15-game stint on the Cape and hit .321/.361/.536 with 6 2B, 2 HRs and 9 RBIs. Strong, athletic build at 5'11" and 193-lbs with plenty of natural strength. Stands fairly tall in the box with his knees slightly bent and a tight base with a slightly open front side. Austin has lowered his handset a bit since last spring, and he now has more of a medium-high handset. Barrel tip in his load is accompanied by his hands drifting. High leg kick leads into a rather lengthy stride. Quick hands and easy plus bat speed. Athletic look, rotates well. Austin's hit tool has taken positive strides since the start of his college career, and last year he posted an overall contact rate of 82% and an IZ contact rate of 91% (including 94% against FB). Present feel for the barrel. Approach and swing decisions still need some fine-tuning, and Austin is susceptible to FBs in the top and outer-1/3 as well as secondaries down-and-away. All of his HR power has come to the pull side, but he needs to get the ball up in the air more. Posted a Max EV of 110 last spring. Has had limited experience in the OF to this point, but will roam CF this spring for Vanderbilt. Got a fair amount of run out there this summer on the Cape. Austin's speed and athleticism both translate to the position—he can go and get it—but the reads and route running will need refinement. Fringe-average arm. Nate Bittle is joining the Toronto Raptors on an Exhibit-10 deal. This is a long-term bet on development but I'd like to make a case for why Nate has a better shot to make it than most 7 footers who went undrafted. 1. He's smart. This doesn't just mean he's a mature, level-headed 23 year-old with good habits and work ethic, but he's also quite intelligent on the court. He processes feedback well, makes timely reads, and picks his spots pretty well. Apart from a few unforced turnovers and some foul trouble earlier in his college career, I'm not worried about his basketball brain. 2. He can shoot. And I mean shoot shoot. Not big man shoot. He has excellent touch indicators, and the shot should go in more than it actually does. Repeatable, high and quick release. Pulls with an abundance of sureness and confidence. 3. Improvement arc. His role expanded with the Ducks through the years and he just found a way to get better. There's no quantum leaps here, nor will 1 be coming. But he absolutely knows who he is as a player. 4. He can really pass. Not exceptionally. But he at least projects to be as good a passer as Jakob Poeltl, which is a huge win. 5. True 7-footer with a 7'6 wingspan. Gets long and big around the basket. Huge standing reach and plays with it. 6. Got stronger. Way too many people assume Nate is 7'1 215. Spoke to someone close to the source close to the situation who said he was closer to 7'1 245 and got up to 255 by the G League combine. That's BIG. 7. He's a drop big. Yes. But he's good at it. And I think his lateral quickness is better than people think it is. 8. Wingspan. He measured out with the largest wingspan in this draft at 7'6, tied with 12th overall pick Aday Mara. However, his Height (7'0) to Wingspan (7'6) differential of 6 inches is the biggest of any player in this draft north of 6'11. 9. He's got a nasty streak. He protects the rim, he goes up strong. Did he at times get bumped off his spot? Yes. But he competes man. 10. His athleticism concerns are over-emphasized. A 26 inch vertical matters way less when you're this big. By no means is this a big vertical lob threat who jumps out of the gym, but he rolls well, rolls hard, finishes well and has excellent touch on a handful of replicable post moves. For the Raptors, if ever he develops, he's as good if not a better bet than Brendan Carlsen. Same size, but a couple of years younger and a much more productive bet against better competition. Not to mention, he's a better defender passer and rebounder than Carlsen. I think he'll eventually work somewhere. Not spectacular. But 7'1 depth bigs who have this much game are a rare find.

I’m on a plane back from a week in Los Angeles and some lessons there shocked me. I met w/ a billionaire, Bryan Johnson, a top 10 podcaster, an A24 movie exec, and a Presidential candidate. 12 learnings from too many meetings to count in Hollywood: 1. LA is not dead. Far from it. I ran into 5 people who I needed to meet with at one hotel in 4 days. The epicenter of media may be disaggregating to Austin, NY and globally... but the density is still here. 2. Bryan Johnson is now one of my favorite humans. I hung with him at his house, tried his 20,000 crunches in 30 minutes machine, and talked about the purpose of life. The internet is a sad state that they don’t give him more credit. 3. Digital media today is like distributed news before cable news. We are at a tipping point for expansion in this digital industry. It feels somehow played out to those of us in it, but it’s just starting. 4. Hollywood is watching creators and UGC closely. I met w/ one exec who said in the not so distant future Netflix will have UGC on it. 5. may be this generation's Anthony Bourdain for thinking. I sat down with him and I think the work he’s doing on youtube is going to be something to watch... closely. 6. Buying boring businesses is not at all interesting to those in LA. BUT - asset accumulation and portfolios are. They buy assets (film rights, etc) all day. They are starting to think about the business of celebrities, creators and their work similar to how I think of investment management. 7. LA is a tale of two cities. I spoke at the convention center that was surrounded by derelict minority businesses and houses, then hung out at private members-only clubs that are all over West Hollywood where Lebron, Chris Voss and all the big timers play. The two places are 10 minutes away but an absolute world apart. 8. The mental health and drug crisis is out of control. Stroll along a downtown street and zombie after zombie trails. I saw people shitting and eating next to one another and across from a Starbucks. I asked our corporate host if this was “normal?” They replied, you stop noticing it after awhile. 9. Offices are completely empty. A friend got an office space for 50% off and more than 40% of the highrise is unoccupied. How odd that home prices are high, housing is really tough to come by, but office space is a blue ocean. 10. Met up with Tulsi Gabbard 🌺, a friend who was traveling to the border to see the situation live. I am grateful to have people fight for the truth even when it is unpopular. We need more leaders like her. 11. Every time I meet with a billionaire I realize all over again that to achieve that level of wealth, you cannot be normal. Truly. He’s weirdly comfortable with discomfort and complete lack of people pleasing. 12. The more I learn about the Kardashians in some ways, the more I respect them. I got the onion peeled back on their business dealings and they are some of the smartest dealmakers I’ve ever seen. Also I hate saying it because I believe gender games are net negative, but I wonder if they’d get so much hate if they weren’t females? I liked the idea of keeping a travel diary like my friend GREG ISENBERG does… Otherwise these moments pass like sand through my fingers. What do you think? Dear World, We all saw and heard Imran Khan’s sons yesterday in Mario Nawfal’s vlog. I am attaching the video here in case you haven’t seen or heard it yet. Please understand this man is being prosecuted illegally for over two years now. He has literally given his whole life to Pakistan…fighting the mafia in Pakistan & the rest of the world. Most concerning right now is the polygraph test which Imran Khan is being forced to take today in Pakistan. Asim Munir’s grandma friend Maryam Nawaz Sharif has acquired court permission from the Banana Republic of current Pakistan to do this test since she wants to push Imran Khan towards a military trial. They want to find any excuse “fast” to try to get rid of him. See, while the world was being duped along with the citizens of Pakistan and India about a war, the dictators who have hijacked the two countries aka Modi and Asim Munir decided to attack own citizens and keep them focused on the war while some other matters were taken care of. For now, I will only focus on the matters pertaining to Pakistan… 1. John Mayer is a master of his craft. He’s also one of the best I’ve come across at using analogy and demonstration to articulate and demystify the creative process. Here’s a 14-clip (~7-minute) masterclass on mastery and creativity: TL;DW 1/ “Whenever I want to write a big song, I can't...That's when I get writer's block: when I try to write a song to fill the entire galaxy. I've never gotten a song that way. But if I write about something the size of a glass of water—a week later, I notice it's got the universe in it. So I'd rather have the universe in a glass of water than try to make a glass of water fit in the universe.” 2/ "What connects with people is you connecting with yourself." 3/ “Writer’s block is when the two people inside of you—the writer and the reader—when the reader doesn’t love the writer. In any event, Sarah discovered that Juice Boxx had allegedly posted pornographic pictures on social media. She reached out to this man who presents himself as a grotesque caricature of a woman. Sarah aired her concerns, and before she was blocked, Sarah received the following reply from Juice Boxx: “I hate your kids.” This is disturbing. This man who allegedly posts pornographic photos and states that he 'hates kids'. Yet Toronto Zoo management deems it appropriate that this person occupies the same room as kids? We reached out to Toronto Zoo spokeswoman Amy Baptista with the following 10 questions: 1. Why is the zoo having drag queen events targeted at children in the first place? 2. Who at the Toronto Zoo is behind this initiative? 3. How many zoos around the world stage such events? 4. Why is it that a performer who has stated in writing that he “hates kids” is being allowed anywhere near kids? 5. Is the Toronto Zoo concerned about the pornographic postings of “Juice Boxx”? 6. Given the age of audience members, are these drag queen performers vetted in any way (i.e., criminal background checks)? 7. On the website it states: “Families of all shapes, sizes, and species are welcome to join us in the Wildlife Marquee.” What does this mean exactly? Are attendees allowed to bring their pets to these events? 8. I notice on the zoo’s website there are actually two drag queen events scheduled for Saturday. The first is Drag Queen Storytime, which features the aforementioned “Juice Boxx” and Carlota Carlisle. Evidently, they will be reading “animal-themed children's stories that teach lessons of inclusion, diversity, self-love, and respect for others.” What is meant by the term, “self-love”? Is this another descriptor for masturbation? 9. The second event is the Toronto Zoo Drag Show. It states on your website: “All are welcome, however this Drag Show is intended for mature audiences.” I am somewhat confused: if this is a show intended for mature audiences, then why are “all welcome” – including, presumably, elementary-age children? 10. Sometimes nudity is part of a drag queen show. Will there be any nudity on display at the zoo’s drag queen events? If so, how would this be appropriate for minors? As for Baptista’s response? She did not address a single query but instead provided this non-answer: “Our Toronto zoo remains committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment that supports inclusivity for everyone to enjoy, and we are proud to continue hosting these events which are held all around the City of Toronto. We encourage families who want to participate to do so, but those who do not want to are welcome to enjoy a day at the Zoo without participating in this entertainment offering.” Talk about a nothing burger. So it was that my videographer Averie and I paid a visit to the Toronto Zoo on a recent Saturday. We headed to the pavilion that was hosting the drag queen story time event. Neither of us were filming nor interacting with parents. We just wanted to witness what was going to happen at this event. Alas, before the show started, a Toronto Zoo employee said we had to leave. But why? We had purchased tickets and were not causing any disturbance. But apparently Rebel News has been deemed media non grata by the zoo people. Our crime? Asking impolite questions it would seem. Within moments security guards and two officers with the Toronto Police Service (!) emerged to frogmarch us off zoo property. It was surreal… Yet, the question arises: if, as Amy Baptista states, the Toronto Zoo is all about “inclusivity”, why is this institution not inclusive when it comes to accommodating the independent press? As well, if these drag queen events are such wonderful kid-friendly events, why is the Toronto Zoo preventing observers from watching these shows? What is the Toronto Zoo hiding? Really, what the hell is going on behind closed doors vis-à-vis drag queens and minors? It’s equal parts outrageous and scandalous. We would love to ask the Toronto Zoo’s CEO, Dolf DeJong he/him, these queries. But we think we already have our answer as to why the zoo is pursuing a perverse woke agenda simply by gazing upon his title.
