Here is Danielle Smith’s response to Carney calling the referendum a “dangerous bluff” Carney in my opinion should never have said what he said. He needs to stay out of Provincial matters and let the process proceed without his rhetoric.

Mark Carney didn’t cancel the carbon tax. He set the rate at zero. It matters because he can increase it anytime he wants, without a vote, should he win. It also matters because he’s spent the last decade evangelizing about the importance of a carbon price for the world. He’s never said it’s bad public policy. He’s said it’s bad politics right now. He hasn’t said he will repeal the legislation should he win. He hasn’t even said he won’t raise the rates. Read his book. He’s told us what his plans are. I can’t believe how few people are holding him to account for this.

Speaking to his Caucus today, Carney tries to claim that the current crisis wasn't foreseeable. Compare that with what he said on March 1st in Barrie "And as I said, I launched my leadership campaign back in January and it was a time when the crisis was not as obvious." Carney ran as Captain Crisis! It was "worst crisis of our lifetimes" all the time His inability to tell the truth is astounding. The inability of the media to fact check his claims is embarrassing Mark Carney

He lied. During the election Mark Carney said he would make housing more affordable. After his first Cabinet meeting his housing minister said he doesn’t think home prices should drop. If you don’t already have a home, the Liberals don’t have a plan to help you.
