Michael Butler, 44, sent his Tesla 70 MPH into the home of Martha Ávila, 76, killing her as she was trying to put away groceries. Butler claimed his autopilot malfunctioned, but Ashok Elluswamy, Tesla’s head of AI, found that he floored the accelerator pedal and overrode the self-driving feature. “In this case, the driver manually overrode self-driving by pressing the accelerator all the way to 100% of the accel pedal in this residential area... They reached a speed of 73 mph during the crash, and had the accelerator pressed even after the crash.” Butler was charged with manslaughter and is being sued by the family of Ávila.

Today Tesla FSD unequivocally saved me and my fiancée from a major collision or worse. Green arrow to turn left and FSD starts to go then suddenly stops, I'm thinking why did you stop I hit the accelerator pedal, it breaks again at the same time a SUV barrels through the intersection running a red light. From my view In the car I never saw the vehicle. Had I been in any other vehicle and pressed the accelerator I have no doubt I would have been T- boned in my driver side door. This happens everyday and lives are lost. This technology saves lives. Thank you Tesla and Tesla_AI for keeping us safe anywhere we go. 2026 Model Y AWD on V14.3.6

This year for the straw we wanted to keep. We put the straw chopper on combine on low, knives not used and spread to 30 foot wide. The damp straw dried within a few hours then we baled it. Always was tuff to bale dry close to the combine up here

Christmas in Ala Igbo has been peaceful and successful. Those who, out of fear of the unknown, stayed back in Abuja and Lagos are now returning to the Southeast to properly celebrate the New Year, after hearing from those who arrived first that all is well on the ground. The truth is, once we all make a deliberate effort to come home and make our presence felt, we will begin to see the things that need fixing and take action. However, if we continue to rely on false information online, we will live in perpetual fear, disconnected from the true reality on the ground.
