Wouldn’t leaving it overnight make it “soggy” and more like a rice porridge? Makes me wonder if the original 1st generation of rice making was done this way instead of this modern 15 minute cooks in a rice cooker…

Many cultures eat rice nearly every meal. They wash the rice, then they just cook it. Many Asians have a higher IQ score, so rice is not causing them brain fog.
