However, I argue the following: • Tesla likely has a 4-5 year lead in generalized autonomous driving. • Tesla has millions of vehicles that could be potentially deployed into a Robotaxi network once unsupervised FSD is ready. • With a large supply of cars offering quick rides at cheaper prices than Uber and Lyft (no human driver), Tesla's robotaxi network will be extremely difficult to compete against. • Newcomers entering the market years later will struggle to match Tesla's supply density, competitive pricing, and demand, even in a single city. It is still a paid service though and is likely using the same software as the Austin Robotaxis. Once Tesla receives the required permit, they will remove the safety driver and instead have a safety monitor in the passenger seat like they do in Austin. That could happen within the next 1–2 months, according to Elon.

After waiting over an hour for a ride Tesla Tesla Robotaxi support tells me to go home.. 😣😭 They said that they don’t show any Robotaxis in Dallas. The rep went to get confirmation and they said they see the post from Ashok Elluswamy and Robotaxi but can confirm there is nothing showing in Dallas on their side…..go home. Robotaxi is not live in Dallas. Who do I believe? What do I do? Here’s the call …. This stuff is why people get frustrated with Tesla

Here is Palo Alto lawmaker Greg Tanaka confirming that they are in talks with Tesla to potentially allow testing of their Robotaxi on local roads. Greg attended Tesla's Cybercab unveiling on Oct 10th & called it “very impressive.” “Tesla has the technology, they have the hardware, but they’re looking for test areas. That’s where Palo Alto comes in. There wouldn't be any charge to the city, so we could provide this service to the community at really great prices. One issue, though, that has to be determined is while they have the technology and the hardware, they don't have the license to pick people up, so there are discussions about Tesla potentially going under Palo Alto's license." This potentially would allow Tesla to start doing Robotaxi rides in the area much sooner.

Robots will bring billionaire living to a lot more people. I had the blessing to eat with Guy Savoy several times. One of the best chefs in the world. He, and other top chefs taught me about the importance of getting fresh ingredients. Here is how robots and World Models will bring that and what do I mean by “everything as a service?” In three years I will have this conversation with my 1X Neo humanoid robot: “Hey Neo I want to upgrade our food to billionaire level.” “I can do that. Food as a service costs $500 a month. I will buy only hand grown fresh organic food and I will prepare amazing meals for you and your family.” Where is the supply chain for such food? Farmers’ markets where everything is fresh and organic. You gotta stop buying at grocery stores to upgrade your diet. “Hey Neo here are the keys to Tesla Robotaxi. And here is my credit card. Start up food as a service.” Neo will take an autonomous car to the market. “But Neo how do you know where to go?” “Well a guy on X did a video of the farmer’s market nearby.” “I watched it, and now know roughly the kinds of things I can get there.” We are too late to start today, the market is closed now, but we can start next week.
