Farouk Ahmed is trending because lovers of Nigeria are calling for the resignation of the NMDPRA Chief, after he revealed that; 1. Dangote's refinery is not licensed, 2. It's incomplete, only 45% built, 3. Dangote wants NNPC to give him monopoly on petroleum products in the country. 4. Dangote's product are not authentic. Dangote in turn said; his products are better than any product they (NNPC) import. And if they want they should test the diesels across the country and test his own to confirm the qualities. Aliko Dangote felt frustrated, opted out of building the steel plant and prepares to put Dangote Refinery up for sale. Aliko Dangote is trending because his daughter Halima Dangote confirmed that the billionaire has willed 25% of his wealth to charity, currently about $11.7 billion (₦16.4 Trillion) But according to Sharia Islamic Laws, he has donated 33%. How? A Muslim may bequeath up to one-third (33⅓%) of their estate to charity or non-heirs without the consent of their heirs. The remaining two-third is distributed among the legal heirs. Meaning you don’t have to donate exactly ⅓. You can donate anything from 1% to 33%, it will still count as 33⅓%. Donating above 33% requires special permission from the heirs. 1%, 20%, 25% 28% 31% 33% all complies with the Islamic Law. 34%, does not. Dangote is presently worth $35bn. The Aliko Dangote Foundation, established in 1994 has received a total funding of $1.95bn. Halima Dangote told Bloomberg that her father already informed herself, her siblings and mother before signing the will. Dangote believes philanthropy contributed to his success, so he wants it to stay running for generations. In 2019, after Bill Gates donated $45bn to ‘charity’ — Belinda and Bill Gates Foundation.
