What is so sad to me is, I grew up during the 60s, and 70s! I was young but I understood what the fight was for equality, justice, freedom. So many black folks bled and died for these fools to mock the work they did. Celebrating a white supremacist! It’s shameful! Disgusting!

I’m sick and tired of Black state and congressional legislators carrying the liberal policies of White democrats that’s destroying Black families. Black people, you know I’m not lying. We were not raised to believe a man can have a baby, or not to know the definition of a woman, or for men to go into women’s bathrooms, or drag queens coming into elementary schools and lap dance on our children, and there are more genders than male and female. If you tried this in the Black community, those fathers and mothers would say, “You better get away from here with that foolishness.” We were not taught that. We were raised on strong Christian and conservative values. The lgbtq community don’t stand with Blacks. Many Black gays have said Black pride day was started because White gays discriminated against Black gays. I’ve heard from Black legislators across the country that they are afraid to stand up to the lgbtq community. They have to support this anti family and anti Christian agenda. Many associates and friends I know share with me confidentially that in private employment, they are afraid of getting fired if they don’t accept what’s being forced down their throats in corporate America. Stop this madness! Take a stand now! Here is another example of Blacks being used to defend the indefensible.

I need Black people in Baton Rouge and Louisiana to recognize how the Attorney General of this state is using a large portion of her time to target Black leadership. If you’re Black and you’re pushing the line hard for Black people these leaders use the media and their power to make you believe they are criminals. All while barely reporting on the actions of white leaders stealing piles of money and still serving. @councilmanclevedunnjr is the target today, but it’s not just him. ty is another example of a Black man targeted by these folks. The goal is to discredit and demonize Black people. Scrutinize every thing she says because she has an agenda to diminish the power of Black people in Louisiana and this country. The AG ignores so much of what white leadership on Louisiana does. Case in point Councilwoman Lori Adams White and her husband. There are some who believe if Black people are getting anything it means someone gave it to us, we didn’t earn it or deserve it. The same way they ignore the negative news on the people they elect, we need to recognize the play and stop throwing out our warriors so they can be comfortable with weak Black leaders vs being held to account by strong Black leaders.

Kennedy Jr. to stand before a room full of Black people and lecture us on racism and how to raise our children to be “resilient.” Kennedy suggested that we could “never end racism” and advised that Black people should focus on making our youth resilient enough to “shake it off.” He went on to suggest that Black children need mentors and role models in barbershops, beauty shops, and restaurants, and that they need a good education to understand they are not the problem—that the racist person is. Let me be clear: Black people in America have endured 400 years of enslavement, rape, murder, brutalization, dehumanization, redlining, mass incarceration, systemic poverty, judicial killings by police, and more. We have proven to be the most resilient people on the planet. We don’t need lectures from a white man about resilience, especially not one who has benefited from the very systems that continue to oppress us. To add insult to injury, Kennedy then compared anti-Catholic sentiment surrounding his uncle, JFK, to the ongoing atrocities Black people have faced for centuries. The audacity of equating slurs and prejudice against Catholics in the 1960s with the multigenerational trauma inflicted on Black communities reveals a profound ignorance and a dismissal of our experiences. Privilege is standing in a place of safety and comfort, insulated from the realities of systemic racism, and telling the oppressed to simply “shake it off.” It is offensive, condescending, and utterly tone-deaf. Black parents have been teaching their children resilience for generations out of necessity.
