Wonderful man! I have fond memories of him leaning out of his car window and giving me his parking ticket saying “a ticket for the pretty lady!”. I exclaimed, “oh it is Puddleglum!” and he replied “the pretty lady has a very good memory!” He was charming - I wasn’t pretty!

Went to buy his book years ago and get it signed. We were the only ones there, so had a long chat. Such a loverly man! I’ll never forget that time with him, just brilliant!!🥰🥰
