Disagree 100% why is the only the man financially responsible for raising the child? If he can't pay his share of raising the kid then he goes to jail, if she can't then she gets government assistance. SMDH. Broken system.

“If” a woman carries a child to term? That sounds to me like Vivek may be leaving the door open for abortion which is morally repugnant. As for the man being fully responsible financially that’s ludicrous. I like many ideas of Vivek’s but this one is bad. I hope he revises.

This is a terrible idea. Already we have a catastrophic level of single parent households. The vast majority are fatherless households. This proposal continues to reward that..and in fact incentivizes that. Stop rewarding mothers for removing fathers from their childrens’ lives.

Disagree. Abortion should be legal up until 13 weeks. However it should be a two-party contract. If the woman believes the man should not have a say, then he should have the option to not be financially responsible and vice-versa. Lastly, totally do away with family court for unwed couples.

We sent a letter to the California DOJ with a simple question: "If a child in our city is being sex-trafficked by an illegal alien, can we at least do a welfare check on that child?" The answer? No. That would violate SB-54. No workaround. No alternative. No explanation for how you're supposed to save that child. That's what California's sanctuary law protects. Not the child. The trafficker.

This woman is being roasted for the idea that if she’s asked out on a date, that it’s the man’s job to pay for her food. If he asks her out for drinks and she goes, is he automatically responsible for feeding her as well? Is it the idea of spending her own money that she’s opposed to? Even if he just wants drinks and conversation, would it be that bad for her to pay for a snack, she could even extend it further by offering to buy him something to eat too, that would make for a good impression. So if you are out for drinks, are you going to starve if the other person doesn’t buy it for you or are you secure enough to get something for yourself?

Having an abortion because you don’t want to care for a child with long-term needs is not an excuse… Parenthood comes with no guarantees. You could birth a perfectly healthy baby who then gets handicapped in a car accident. Are you going to discard that child? 2). They claimed they didn’t want to bury their child. Yet, they had an abortion at 21 weeks. The child had its limbs ripped off and its skull crushed. It’s your responsibility as a parent to bear the heartbreak and pain that comes with parenthood.
