i feel like by the sims 4 they realize most people arent zoomed in close to their sims doing every task. From a bird's eye view, the last animation is more fun and engaging.

Idk why but the sims 4 side step when doing animations or swapping animations bug me. Like why would you have to back up just to pick up a bowl

4 is just sims with adhd they learned a trick they do it every time they cook to keep things interesting

Sims 4 is lazy, they use the same recycled animations for *hundreds* of actions in the game, the predecessors had different animations depending on what your sim was doing/cooking, etc. sims 4 is basically *sim flares arms in A,B,C, set ways* and then boom action completed
