What if you don't include foul balls? I'd exclude them personally because they can be just as much a success for the hitter as they are the pitcher and are probably common enough to alter your results.

Every single pitcher has to do this to throw the ball. Once there hand breaks every pitchers time to plate is close in timing. Giving you a consistent time to start. —Being on time towards the opposite field gap or through the middle for fastball. Gives you a chance to do damage on both pitches. The FB & Off speed. When you get into your advantage counts & have earned your fastball. 2-0, 3-0, 3-1. You hear things like: "Just never give up and you will find success" In many cases in life, fitness, many careers, this can be true. But the reality is not necessarily like this in trading. You can never give up - but keep repeating the same habits that hold you back - and spin your wheels indefinitely. It's only when you find and implement positive expectancy habits - then never give up - then statistically can find yourself making money For example, I took 3 paper cuts trying to catch this short. Respected my stops swiftly, didn't tilt, or revenge leverage. Then caught it, made back the paper cuts and more. Had I not respected the habits that keep me grounded in success I probably would not have even had the ability to catch the winning trade because the account would be gone or losses too large. 🥊You're in a boxing match. You will take the hits, but make sure you are able to stay in the ring for the late rounds where you can land the big punch.

The key to success on saving is to take 15% of your income when you're in your 20s and invest it in the index of the S&P 500. You don't have to pick stocks and you don't even have to understand what a stock is, but over the period of your life, if you're taking that 15% every two weeks/month on an average salary, you'll end up a millionaire when you're 65 plus. That's enough to live off in retirement. You won't have any debt. So it's about learning how to not buy s*** you don't need and investing that money instead.

To be a successful founder, you have to believe that what you're working on is going to work — despite knowing it probably won't! That sounds like an oxymoron, but it's really not. Believing that what you're building is going to work is an essential component of coming to work with the energy, fortitude, and determination it's going to require to even have a shot. Knowing it probably won't is accepting the odds of that shot. It's simply the reality that most things in business don't work out. At least not in the long run. Most businesses fail. If not right away, then eventually. Yet the world economy is full of entrepreneurs who try anyway. Not because they don't know the odds, but because they've chosen to believe they're special. The best way to balance these opposing points — the conviction that you'll make it work, the knowledge that it probably won't — is to do all your work in a manner that'll make you proud either way. If it doesn't work, you still made something you wouldn't be ashamed to put your name on. And if it does work, you'll beam with pride from making it on the basis of something solid. The deep regret from trying and failing only truly hits when you look in the mirror and see Dostoevsky staring back at you with this punch to the gut: "Your worst sin is that you have destroyed and betrayed yourself for nothing." COACHES: Here is a GREAT teaching clip of something I see in youth hockey all the time. A player will skate the puck towards one of their teammates and will then pass it to them. It's one of my biggest pet peeves in the game. When you skate the puck towards your teammate, you're effectively bringing defenders towards them too so when you give them the puck you've put them in a difficult spot because now with more defenders near they have less time and space to make a play. This clip is a great example. The CHI defenseman skates the puck toward his partner and then tries to give him a pass. They turn the puck over with two CAR forecheckers now right there and the puck ends up in the back of the net. In youth hockey you see defenseman do this a lot and even more so they'll skate it towards their winger and then give them the puck either on the breakout or in the neutral zone. A better solution would be to move it right away or suck defenders towards you (and away from) your teammate so when you pass to them they'll have more time and space. Phenomenal teaching clip on time and space!!
