Frankie, absolutely spot on. Similarly, do @AnimalRising deem it acceptable an estimated 80,000,000 animals are killed on UK roads every year? What about the thousands of animals killed by combine harvesters every year? Should we go back to hand harvesting crops? Could go on..

I was chatting to one of their supporters on here earlier and asked him if he thought this charity was acceptable. He refused to answer the question as he said it was a loaded question yet of course it is no different from what @orlanichochlain is asking

@FrankieFoster3_ can answer the question like this , no it’s not acceptable, racing tries to reduce the risk and has done over the past 20/30 yrs , Nothing is acceptable as racing strives to keep reducing the risk. In reality and life you can’t eradicate risk

The more fuss people make about them, the more they're getting the attention they want. I've muted them, and I don't engage with them.

I get your point, but I can’t think of many other examples where education is as important as it is in racings case!

If we thought our racehorses had more chance of dying than any other horse then we wouldn’t do it. But we’ve lost less horses through racing than our non-thoroughbred liveries, who have been lost through colic, injuries in the field and other illnesses
