Here's todays Near miss rendered using ADS-B data in X-Plane Flight Simulator. For all the drama, it looks like the aircraft would have likely missed each other even if a landing had taken place, but the go around was still the right choice.

@XPlaneOfficial There is definitely confusion from the pilot. Instructions were clear and ATC did correct the pilot on his initial call back. Pilot acknowledged the hold short of center runway. Great call by the airline pilot to go around.

@XPlaneOfficial Whole conversation with the Flexjet was weird from the start. They get taxi instructions but have to redo all that because tower didn't get where they were starting from, then there's the whole 31C/31L confusion... Let's just be glad nothing happened except scary footage.

@XPlaneOfficial The Flexjet read-back was so crappy and confused, then not following the instruction, then being slow to follow the "stop right there" instruction after the cross, I am really surprised they didn't call him back to the gate. I hope they did an immediate in-person in Knoxville.
