I slowed down and resynched the engine diagram during the booster engine restart, that's a pretty hard failure that damaged neighbours.

Sad to hear Wally has gone west. I remember watching NS-16 and when the capsule was decelerating at Max g loading she was whooping and cheering while everyone else was silent.

I still don't have a good explanation for why the booster flipped the wrong direction beyond the notion that it's an unstable situation and small perturbations can quickly grow in ways not planned.

So... is this some pyrotechnic to nail the legs to the deck?

A lot of the news stories talking about the uncommanded A320 dive talk about losing 100 feet over 10 seconds. That really doesn't sell the suddenness of this pitch down. It essentially performed a zero g dive for a second then pulled out at about 1.4g.

I was wondering whether the tablets that were used on Starliner would be iPads like everyone else, or Android.... They're windows tablets.

One last observation - during hot staging the booster velocity drops rapidly for a moment, this is faster than can be explained by gravity. If this is accurate the booster had negative g loading for a moment, possibly lifting propellent off bottom of tanks. It's very short, but still a bigger deceleration than I expected

Just look at the massive radiators that aren't on there, because the whole thing is running on solar power anyway.

When I visited NASA Ames back in July I got a look at this supercomputer simulation showing why SLS has acquired a pair of strakes next to the SRBs. These work as vortex generators that inhibit the large oscillations in the airflow between the core and boosters

There are all these dumb conspiracies about Jewish Space Lasers. So I did the math on the orbital mechanics of this imaginary constellation.

Comparing the two different times we saw the skirt camera and it's very obvious the flames are more apparent later on. I didn't want to jump to conclusions because entrained fuel burning is normal on many rockets, but this clearly got worse showing that the failure progressed.
