Also, by surprise of no one, Scott was at the peak of his jackassery, he was truly an awful piece of shit which Phoenix force only made it even worse. Logan had previously quitted and started his own x-team, so when the avengers came knocking he didn't hesitate.

The problem I had with AvX was the Avengers being really dumb aholes.

Cuz he was a bitch, plain and simple. Wolverine was mad cuz Cyclops was right about the teenage students being training to fight against sentinels. Wolverine didn’t want them to be fighting Sentinels but life tells a very different story. Boy was mad and petty the whole time.

The only fight that I questioned the victor was Magneto VS Ironman. Aside from that, it was an amazing run.

It was a bit deeper than people being upset that their favorite team didn’t dominate. This was also around that weird time were Marvel was acting funny with the mutants since they didn’t know the rights(and it only got worse from here).

It's kind of weird that when you have two sides, that really don't want to kill one another, that people would argue..."who would win?" What would be interesting is a alien invasion where Xmen, Avengers, FF4 and even Doom all decided "The gloves are off!" Such a instance happened at the end of Justice League Unlimited where Darkseid invaded and everyone decided to just go all out.

Dumb event but it was funny to see Spideys reaction to Wolverine healing back after being burned down to his skeleton.

Also him and Spider-Man were there as tools to sell the book

Also shortly before Avengers vs X-men We had the x-men schism arc where cyclops & wolverine have major beef with each other, so they split off. Wolverine was probably still very pissed against cyclops.

@comicsexplained have you fully covered Hellions 2020? Idk why but I wish they did more with those characters and I'm personally a fan of Wild Child even though he's seen as a 2nd rate Sabertooth and Wolverine. Really wish there was more on him in general he's had it rough

I didn’t mind AvX. I didn’t like Versus though. I thought the fights were off.

There was a bunch of mess going on, plot-armor wise and plot wise that was just stupid. That’s why I am indifferent to AvX. It started off fantastic and then spiraled down. Just the amount of the things iron man was involved in and his suggested importance was just BS.
