desktop is a bigger deal than it looks. once agents have profiles, remote gateways, and a real UI, the hard part becomes permissions + memory for what each agent is allowed to touch.

Too fast!

I tried Hermes today with a Gemini 3.5 Flash key and holy smokes that thing cooked (and burned though my wallet). It plowed through the 99 iterations several times and the output quality was phenomenal. Way better than GPT 5.5 on a sub. GPT sub compacts all the time and doesn't put that much effort. Why is that?

The desktop app is a big milestone because agents become useful when they live next to the actual work: files, browser, terminal, schedules, memory. The challenge now is making every action permissioned and verifiable by default.
