Should I update my Hermes agent now? For the last three months, I never updated my Hermes agent.
The best number in this release is buried: gateway/run.py went from 34,847 lines to 5,512. Same behaviour. And about 19 rarely used tools now load only when needed, roughly halving the desktop tool schema sent on every call. Fewer tokens every turn. Huge work, team 🪽
every release the agent gets faster and i become the bottleneck, squinting at a terminal so i put a voice on top and just talk to my agents. mostly works:
real milestone is when running an agent stops being a project of its own
