The second Young Dolph murder trial has ended in a not guilty verdict. On Thursday (Aug. 21), the trial wrapped up for Hernandez Govan, the person accused of being the middleman between the shooters and the person who allegedly ordered the hit on the Memphis rhymer. After over two hours of deliberations, the jury found Govan not guilty of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. After the verdict was read, Govan hugged his attorneys. Govan was one of three men charged with direct involvement in the 2021 killing of Young Dolph, who was shot and killed inside Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies in Memphis by two masked gunmen on Nov. 17, 2021. One of the shooters, Justin Johnson, was found guilty during his trial last September and sentenced to life in prison. As the ejection occurred above the clouds and at a considerable altitude, it could either be the pilot of a Su-30/Su-35 fighter or a Su-34 bomber. On Monday (March 30), both the prosecution and Cornelius Smith Jr.'s attorneys met in Shelby County, Tenn., court, where they agreed to a plea deal but pushed Smith's sentencing date back to May 15. One of the factors remaining to be settled is where Smith will serve his sentence due to concerns over his safety and if he will be designated to solitary confinement for his own protection. "We wanna make sure that the sentence that he gets, he's going to be able to serve it safely," Smith's attorney, Michael Scholl, told WREG News. Smith admitted to being one of the men who shot and killed Young Dolph inside Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies in 2021. He testified against Justin Johnson, the second man charged with the crime, in 2024. Johnson was ultimately found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison plus 35 years. Hernandez Govan, the man accused of masterminding the murder plot, was acquitted at trial in 2025.

As ICE agents are trying to get into their home from outside, the wife tells local police dispatchers that her husband was shot as he was entering the house and a bullet went through the door. If, like ICE claimed this morning, they shot this man because he was beating them with a broom or a snow shovel. Why would they be shooting him through his house door as he's running into his home? Take Noni Madueke for instance, his transfer to Arsenal was a mess. A lot of the fans didn't understand the move and there was a lot of displeasure about it online. How do you think that made Madueke feel? This is a guy who was on top of his game in the Netherlands before moving to Chelsea and everything changed for him. He went from a confident dribbling monster, fighting for silverware to whatever he was at Chelsea, a shadow of himself. Now he has won the league in his first season at Arsenal and made the world cup squad for England. Arteta is not only saving the lives of the fans, he is also saving the lives of his players.
