When I was park operator at Moyie Lake we VOLUNTEERED to clear the forest brush and were told the law was to leave it as it lie. The campers could’ve picked it up and burned it during the campfire season even to use as bonfires but the law forbids any of us to touch it. It was thick with dead dry branches and needles. Tree top fire is ridiculous. The greens at the top of the trees smoke as opposed to catch easily and it is the failings of this government to lift such nonsensical restrictions that would 💯 help with this issue simply by people wanting to protect their homes 🏡 Further I didn’t see one single inspector all year and we had fires just outside the park last year ( well over a year before this ). The four water bombers had no issue finding Moyie lake to fight the fires 🔥 If it is disrupting the ecosystem is what it was suppose to be about then to leave the dry brush and dump 25% of a lake out as being the answer is literally 0 ambitions to solve this issue and is resounding in this response. I feel like Elon Musk needs to duct tape a super soaker 50 to a drone for the fire department.
