Hey, I’ve got an idea. Let’s all watch Lawrence Taylor utterly destroy everyone for a minute.

How bout a quick sideline shot of he and Gastineau plowing through a mountain of blow before the game

Yea shedding 3 blocks and keeping the motor turning is fun to watch. Along with he is destroying some players that were at the top of their positions as well.

IMO the greatest player ever. Not just linebacker.

If God could create the perfect football player, it would be Lawrence Taylor. Watching him steamroll 300 pound plus offensive alignment is fun to watch.

Lawrence Taylor changed the game. He was allowed to "freelance" on the field. I went to a number of Meadowlands games in the 80s. If you were twice as big as him, he threw you aside. If you were smaller, he could still outrun you. Ask Joe Theisman.

It is an EXTREMELY underrated problem that the best defensive player in @NFL history, Lawrence Taylor, could not possibly play in today’s game because they have wussified the rules so much, all to mitigate lawsuits and open the way for an 18 game regular season… 🤮

. . . . . think what he could have done if he went home and got a good night's rest

Dude, was a one-man wrecking crew

Just imagine if the Giants had selected Reggie While instead of Gary Zimmerman in the 1984 USFL Supplemental draft. That would have been a nightmare for O-lines!

Man LT was so good. The modern NFL is lame as most all of these clips would be a penalty today.

That time he took a chainsaw to Willie Beaman’s truck .. any given Sunday 🔥

This man had as much success as a left tackle could have against LT. RIP Mark Tuinei.

No one changed game more than Lawrence Taylor. He literally invented a new position and forced every single coach to redefine their entire philosophy. Thank you for not including the Theisman play.

Look at him run down the sideline, he was a full-size backer, not like the backers you see nowadays.

That 97 yard return was on Thanksgiving.

Show his run defense for once! He is the reason we see backside blocking on tosses, counters, & sweeps! He was the first sideline to sideline WLB!

Met him on a checkout line once. He's one of the few that I've ever bothered for a picture with, at first he seemed annoyed (who could blame him) but then we chatted about the 80's and early 90's (the good old days) and he chuckled and he shook my hand. All in all, in spite of what you may hear about him; he's a good guy. Not as good as my Reggie White moment, but up there!

amazing how he could tackle the QB while tackling the tackle

I couldn't even imagine what it was like to try and stop LT from distributing pain.

Complete athlete. The speed on that return after the interception 🔥

Definitely worth a minute 😤

Browns had a heck of a blocking scheme...let's block that monster with a tight end, then a running back.

Giants strength coach said Taylor never worked out, but that if he did it would be like the sun getting just 1% hotter and what that result would be like for earth

1 of 3 defensive players I watched in my life where the offenses had to game plan around one individual The other two: Deion Sanders Aaron Donald

1 of 2 named nfl mvp's from the defensive side. ever. joe theisman wants his leg back.

Reason why quality left tackles make an obscene amount of money.

@JoshuaWallack Flinging a good size NFL QB down with one arm…swimming through blockers like Michael Phelps to tackle Earnest Byner…few under 45 realize how transformative he was — changed the Giants D and team, forced changes on offenses that remained for decades.

In the NFL there a different levels in players.. there are plates that are: “Average” “Good” “Great” “Elite” And then there are just a select few that I call “Game Changers” LT was a “Game Changer”

Imagine if Reggie White did coke.

Yeah... I'd say he was pretty good...

Saw him in college he hit the tackle, fullback ,running back, quarter back at the same time then recovered the fumble. Incredible

Bill Burr tells the story of LT not even knowing the names of the other teams in the league, and it jut didnt mattter
