Super excited to announce react-native-godot: A seamless integration of the Godot Engine with React Native for iOS and Android! Now you can create games with native UI components, giving them a polished, platform-native feel. Plus, you'll have full access to the engine and all GDScript functions directly within React Native, fully typed for an enhanced development experience. Since it's a standalone library, simply import a .pck file, and you're good to go. Open-sourcing in the coming weeks!

Bone Tide is officially out on the App Store and Google Play 🎉 The React Native Expo version runs on the exact same TypeGPU engine as the Web game, shared 1:1 between both platforms. Only the UI was ported to React This was made possible by some amazing work across the React Native open source ecosystem. Huge thanks to William Candillon for react-native-webgpu and for always helping me resolve any issues incredibly quickly :D I think it’s a pretty cool showcase of what can be built with React Native nowadays. More details about the libraries used in the 🧵 featuring what might be the ultimate Software Mansion stack iOS: Android: Web:

If typing fast in your app feels like wading through mud, you need useNativeState. Every TextField in RN has felt slightly off for years; Expo UI just shipped the fix with the new useNativeState hook. Instead of trying to keep the native input and react state in sync on each keystroke, useNativeState handles the state completely on the native side. React (JS thread) only reads the value when it needs it e.g. onSubmit, using a lightweight reference. Make your app faster, read the full blog ↓

you need to be appsmaxxing. i have become addicted to making my own iphone apps. fable can basically one shot these if you have a mac and xcode installed. pay $99 and setup test flight and you can have custom bespoke swift native iphone apps for anything you want. i built a ferry schedule app so i can stop looking at a website, and even created a simple widget so i can just glance at my screen, and made an apple watch version with just the details i need. i took my marin newsletter site and made it into a native app, and i also have my poker arena as a native iphone app now.

Voicenotes Dictation is now live on iOS. You can now use the Voicenotes keyboard to speak into any app with a text box - Messages, emails, notes, comments, basically anywhere you’d normally type. Just speak, and your words appear instantly. Update Voicenotes from the App Store to try it.

I built a full-stack Chat App to learn React Deeper. When I started, I only know the basics in React. I was hesitant at first if I would be able to do it or not, but I started building it anyways. Through building it, I have learned: - Typescript - Tailwind - Redux - Firebase - File Structuring - Optimization - More hooks The list could go on... The point is you don't need to know it all to start building something. Fundamentals are enough, you can figure out and learn the others on the way. Here's the link of the app: Source code: I create visual web dev content and its all here:

React Native now has its own shadcn/ui equivalent — introducing 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗨𝗜. If you love the flexibility of copying customisable components directly into your project (avoiding heavy, dependency-laden packages), NativeUI is designed for you. 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗨𝗜 offers beautifully crafted, accessible components tailored for React Native, following the same copy-paste philosophy as shadcn/ui. Built with 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱 for fast, declarative, and flexible styling optimised for React Native. ➡️ 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 — no black-box dependencies required. ➡️ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁, supporting screen readers and keyboard navigation, and designed to align with native iOS and Android UX patterns. ➡️ 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗨𝗜 without rebuilding common elements like buttons, inputs, or sliders from scratch. ➡️ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, but not yet integrated with Tamagui’s styling system (future support may be planned). ➡️ 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱 — though you’ll need to wire it up manually using Tailwind variables, context providers, and config files. Note: The term “install” in the documentation refers to using the shadcn CLI (e.g., npx shadcn@latest add component) to fetch and copy component code into your project, not adding a package to your dependencies. NativeUI isn’t a plug-and-play library; it’s a lightweight toolbox that empowers you to shape your UI with precision and control. The thing I help hitters with the most.. (1 good way to train it👇🏼) They start on time but never actually get loaded to GO. They think they’re ready. They’re not. So they start earlier next time. Same problem. —— This is a conversation I have with almost every hitter. When is the right time for you? - Based on your load style - Based on how long your load takes - Based on the pitcher’s velo, windup, or slide step —— If that’s you, try a “loaded at release” type load. Bobby Witt. Judge. Get your hip and elbow loaded early. Then stride with it ready to fire. “The pitcher is up there for 20 seconds telling you to get ready. Shame on you if you’re not ready to swing.” ____ If I have you in the cage, what I’ll do is have you get into a no stride position, get ready to swing and I stand there for 1-4 seconds… Holding my hand out over the plate ready to snap my fingers. When I snap, you swing. Do that 4-5x. You get the quickness, readiness feeling. Then we go back to stride with moving ball and you’re trying to time up that same GO move with the ball With your foot up in the air and the GO will make the foot go down. Not foot down then swing. That typically kills quickness. This works 95% of the time I’d say! —— > Send this to a hitter who needs it > Save it for when you need it.

i'm too stubborn to simply give up on the concept of Benji after almost 10 years(!!) of iterating on it with different stacks... 2018: graphql backend + react SPA 2019: made a react native app for 6 months 2020: gave up on it and wrote 3 years of using other bs tools and being grumpy about them 2023: rewrote it in blitz js (JUGE mistake) 2024: iterate on react native + PWA + RN pwa wrapper 2025: time for a rewrite to Zero To Shipped ⛴️ stack (but next js sucks for this kind of app, add api, mcp, cross platform app, and many other things 2026: i want it all actions INSTANT AND FAST AF and next js is the wrong tech choice for a mostly client app, so i'm starting a rewrite with TANSTACK + Convex + Better Auth it feels so snappy 😭 btw 99% of the customers abandoned it, there are like 3 ride or die fans but i know i can turn it around!!!! let /goal cook.

If you’ve ever managed custom icons in React Native, you know the frustration of choosing between performance and developer experience. Libraries like 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁-𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲-𝘀𝘃𝗴 are flexible but heavy. Every icon creates its own React subtree. The alternative? Manual icon fonts that force you into a constant back-and-forth of using web tools like IcoMoon and syncing font assets every time a design changes. 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝘀 just released 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁-𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲-𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗼-𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀 to solve exactly this. It’s a build-time icon font generator that gives you the performance of native fonts with the flexibility of simple SVG files. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴? Instead of rendering complex vector paths at runtime, this library automatically converts your folder of SVGs into an optimized icon font during the build process. It essentially teaches your app to treat icons like standard text characters, which allows it to bypass React’s component tree and layout engine entirely. ➡️ 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: It handles the entire pipeline—watching your icon folder, converting SVGs to .ttf files, and linking them to your native project automatically. ➡️ 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Because icons render as native text glyphs, it is significantly faster than traditional SVG rendering, making it the ideal choice for long, scrollable lists or icon-heavy dashboards. ➡️ 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗴 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝗴𝗶𝗻: It features first-class support for Expo, automating the native plumbing like Info.plist updates and asset linking during the prebuild phase. ➡️ 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: The library generates TypeScript definitions for your icon set, providing full IDE autocomplete and ensuring you never break the UI with a misspelled icon name. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀? In high-performance applications, small overheads add up. By shifting the heavy lifting from the mobile device to your build machine, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁-𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲-𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗼-𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀 ensures your UI stays buttery smooth while keeping your developer workflow modern. It’s another great example of how 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 continues to solve the "last mile" of performance friction in the ecosystem. Before you migrate your entire library, keep in mind: this is designed for the 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 (Fabric) and requires React Native 0.74 or higher. #ReactNative #Expo #SoftwareMansion #Icons #MobileDev #Performance #DeveloperExperience #OpenSource #JavaScript #TypeScript #SVG #Fabric

Day 1 of building GTA 6. Still feels fake typing that out. Upgraded to Claude Max 20x just for this. Spent a couple hours getting the whole project structured and pushed to the repo. Sandbox is up and running. No studio, no publisher. Just whoever shows up. We picked Godot on purpose: it's community-owned, so nobody can pull an EPIC on us later and rewrite the deal once we're invested. The goal: beat the real GTA 6 to launch. Ambitious, probably stupid, doing it anyway. If you can model, code, build levels, or write music and lore, come join. Looking for a couple contributors to cook this. Time to cook. Reply if you're in.

and he’s right! love me a man of science 🤓 🍒 : with how i look at it.. the core and the erector spinae muscles.. those that support your lower back.. i think working on these areas consistently is good. even if you don't go as far as doing pilates or things like that.. just the basics! because eventually, if you lose strength on those muscles over time, it puts strain on your spinal discs. so you really have to work on your lower back muscles!

BOOOM! I ain’t stopping with just Grok Voice! Grok builds a news feed for me every 7 minutes. It is curated on my tastes and is alway ready. You may not think you need this device but it needs you. If I can get more backing I will make sure anyone that wants one (not using an Apple Watch) will be able to afford to buy one. If SpaceXAI supports this: WE GO TO THE MOON with it. Years before OpenAI even has a chance to draw plans. They ain’t going where I am. More soon. News feed fell the analog click. It’s not retro it’s the future.

A lot of hitters confuse being late with letting the ball get deep. They’re not the same thing. In this video I show it with a simple example. I toss the ball and reach way out in front of me to catch it. That’s what late looks like. The ball already beat you… now you’re chasing it with your hands. Then I toss another one and catch it slightly behind me. That’s being on time and letting the ball get deep. When you’re late, your body and barrel are reacting after the ball passes your window. You’re forced to reach, cut across it, or roll it over. When you’re on time, you can let the ball travel and still control it. Now the barrel can stay through the zone longer, and you can drive it with authority. Deep ≠ late. Good hitters aren’t reaching for the ball… they’re on time enough to let it come to them. ⚾️ Train with an expert. Not an influencer.
