Hi Rise! 🧵 The Artemis II zero gravity indicator was designed by 3rd grader Lucas Ye. Our blanket technician at Goddard brought it to life, fabricated in the same lab where blankets are created to keep spacecraft like Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope the right temperature for science.

It was great to bring My View with Lara Trump inside the historic Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. 🚀 From Apollo, to the Space Shuttle, and now Artemis, this building is one of the most storied in all of spaceflight. It’s where we are beginning our return to the Moon. In just a few short days, our Artemis II rocket rolls out from the VAB to the launchpad.

The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is in final preparations for an early September launch, eight months AHEAD of schedule and UNDER budget. This milestone is the result of more than a decade of dedication and millions of hours of work by NASA and our industry partners. Their commitment is what’s making this moment possible and helping drive Gold Standard Science. Roman will help answer some of the biggest questions in science, investigating dark matter, dark energy, and the structure of the universe. Its images will be so large and detailed, there isn’t a screen in existence big enough to display them. This is just the beginning.

Artemis was a great test of going around the moon. However the Artemis rocket system has the same problem as the Apollo missions to the moon. It costs too much. The Artemis rocket, SLS, was designed by the US Senate. $4 billion per launch. And can only launch once each 2 years. We can’t build a moon base with this system. SLS was a rocket designed by politicians to create jobs for the old Space Shuttle contractors. They spent 15 years and $25 billion developing it, and it will never be cost effective at $4 billion per launch. It is an obsolete rocket already. It works, but it will eventually die due to budget cuts.

As one of the hero assets for our film Outpost Alpha, the AH-64D Apache helicopter was created to a very high degree of detail as it needs to hold up in extreme closeup shots. We designed the rig to reflect how the mechanical parts move in real life, further adding to the realism in our animations. Now it moves on to Texturing and Look Development. Couldn't be happier with the progress we are making on the film at Luminairi.

In 2015, we set a target for ourselves. We said we have to reduce our carbon emissions by 43% before 2030, and we have to come to a net-zero state by 2050. If we do this successfully, only then will we be able to limit the global average temperature rise to below 1.5 degrees. The objective was to limit the temperature rise to 1.5 degrees C above the normal, and the means was the reduction of emissions compared to the 2019 levels... A mysterious interstellar object, 31/ATLAS, is racing through our solar system and will reach its closest point to the sun October 29. At the same time, NASA is preparing the Artemis II mission for 2026, and aiming to return humans to the Moon by 2027. But the question remains… Is NASA showing us everything? Or is something being kept in the shadows of space?

After weeks in microgravity, it has become remarkably efficient at living in an environment where up and down are merely suggestions. Reacquainting it with gravity takes time. Post-flight rehabilitation is a carefully designed program tailored to each astronaut, gradually increasing the intensity and complexity of exercises to retrain balance, coordination, strength, and endurance. The objective is simple: keep challenging the body until Earth feels natural again. At times, I was convinced that my instructor, Emiliano Ventura , had made it his personal mission to find new and creative ways to make me fall. But that is how you learn. By falling. Fast forward to April 10, when the Orion spacecraft with our four Artemis II astronauts aboard jettisoned its forward bay cover ahead of splashdown off the coast of San Diego. This shell helps protect the spacecraft, but must come off before Orion’s parachutes can deploy and slow the capsule down for a safe landing.

We're building companies like Saronic to rebuild our national manufacturing base, [building] thousands and then tens of thousands to get ahead of China. We're building companies like CHAOS Industries that can detect with new technology any drones hundreds of miles away, so you can protect our border, you can protect our Army bases. And we have technologies like Epirus to shoot down drones and protect our satellites. We have all sorts of these things that we're putting together with the best and brightest to stay ahead of China.
