NASA astronauts are given silver iPhone 17 Pro Max for the Artemis II flight! The same phone we use could be used to take pictures of the Moon 🫪 Look at how it’s floating in zero gravity, this could be the ultimate Shot on iPhone commercial 😭

I can totally see the next ad. "The only phone to take pictures of the moon, on the moon"

Imagine scrolling through your Moon photos like it's just another iCloud album

Imagine pulling out your phone and realizing it’s literally been to the Moon that’s a crazy flex.

"the same phone we use" is doing a lot of work. bro that phone is floating 250,000 miles from earth and yours is sitting on your nightstand at 2am while you scroll twitter with 12% battery. same hardware. very different missions. the iphone doesn't care if you use it to photograph the moon or photograph your food at a restaurant. it was built for both and judges neither. what's the most underwhelming thing you use your phone for given how powerful it actually is?

That’s wild—but also very on-brand for modern space missions 😂📱 If true, it’s interesting how NASA is leaning into off-the-shelf consumer tech for missions like Artemis II. The idea that a phone in astronauts’ hands could capture Moon shots really does sound like the ultimate “Shot on iPhone” moment—Apple marketing team probably already dreaming about it 😭🚀

They had to take the iPhone to the moon to say that it takes good pictures of the moon 😭 The marketing campaigns that can be done with this are incredible. Apple made the right move.

Samsung galaxy would have been better. The zoom could get a picture of chipmunk from space

One of the Astronauts pointed out that the new Iphone cameras sucked compared to the older cameras. They are working on it.

Put your iPhone in the vacuum. At best, the screen will turn white, at worst, the battery may increase in size due to the pressure drop and cause a fire.

Osea, los astronautas tienen cámaras buenas pero nosotros vemos el livestreaming en 120p. Algo no me cuadra.
