A terrifying incident occurred during a children’s performance at Randburg Shopping Center when professional mermaid Gabriela Green-Thompson Kay found herself gasping for air after her mermaid tail became entangled with a piece of coral. Gabriela, who was imitating a mythical mermaid, had been blowing kisses and waving to the audience before the mishap.
