Want to see what the public schools have done to people’s children? Middle school kids beat a man for having a MAGA hat. They tell him to off himself and everything. I’m not sure if he’s a teacher there or not, but look at what public schools are doing!!! These kids were outside protesting ICE, and not in the classroom LEARNING! They’re LEARING, NOT LEARNING!!! Why is there a push to close Chicago Public Schools on May 1? According to the Illinois State Board of Education, only 1 in 3 CPS elementary students are proficient in reading and only 1 in 5 are proficient in math. Our kids need more time in the classroom, not less, yet Chicago parents are being asked for their kids to lose another day of school on May 1st for a political Day of Action. Parents and kids rely on schools for learning and consistency. Closing schools will send parents scrambling for babysitters or losing wages to stay home to care for their kids. For some kids, schools are where they get their meals and are the safest place they’ll be that day. As a CPS mom, I have skin in the game and expect my son to be in school where he belongs on May 1st. Keep Chicago’s students in the classroom, parents at work, and focus on the city’s test scores, not its politics. #chicago

‼️WE ARE RUINING YOUTH SPORTS AND RUINING A LOT OF KIDS IN THE PROCESS. A The Wall Street Journal article this week painted a grim picture for youth athletes in America. The reality it laid out should stop all of us in our tracks. High school athletes are transferring schools not once, not twice—but sometimes multiple times in a single high school season. Youth sports were never designed to be a marketplace. They were designed to be a training ground. The adult in the room—the one responsible for building young men—is now negotiating with a teenager who holds all the leverage. That’s not development. That’s customer service. And when you turn players into customers… You stop coaching them. You start catering to them. We don’t need to eliminate opportunity. We need to anchor it. We need to create a system where kids can chase their dreams and still be rooted in something that actually builds them. Because if we don’t— We’re not just changing high school sports. We’re changing what it produces. And I don’t think we’re going to like the result.

I woke up to a lot of comments saying things like, “I don’t see any crime, Elissa,” or “It’s just kids being kids it’s Halloween,” or that “parents should handle this.” But as someone who ACTUALLY lives here in Navy Yard, it’s not that simple. The intent behind my post was not to claim an “active crime in progress.” It’s about safety awareness both for neighbors who live here and for others who might be heading into the area unaware of what’s been happening. Mom in Auburn, Washington, is escorted with her child safely off the campus where a large anti-ICE protest was taking place. Once in her car, the mom tells her daughter they’ll need to find a new school because this one isn’t safe. Any school that promotes or allows anti-ICE protests should be defunded and legally shut down. Anti-ICE protests are dangerous and anti-American. In Stockton teachers opened up the gates to closed campuses allowing kids to run around the city unsupervised. Then a girl gets jumped by kids AND adults. Now what ? Parents drop their kid off at school expecting they will be safe to and now a girl is at home dealing with getting beat up. Homeschool. It’s the only way. Stockton and Lincoln unified better hope they can’t be sued.

EVERY SINGLE HIGH SCHOOL SHOULD HAVE A TPUSA CHAPTER IN IT! And if the schools won’t allow it, WE FIGHT until they do. Most schools won’t because they will not allow a different point of view!
