We can't quite believe it, but we've never posted an FX Animation Breakdown before! There's been such amazing FX work done on so many of our projects, we're definitely going to show you more of how it's done. This film in particular was so FX heavy, we had to highlight the crazy work that went into it. You all know we love an action sequence. But for this one, we took a pretty different approach than we usually do! The entire thing was rendered through FX animation. The animator did their rough and tie-downs but instead of going into clean-up and BG paint, the FX team rendered the characters as well as animated the background FX (which is a super rare thing to do!). The result is this abstract representation of two magnificent powers colliding in an epic battle!!! Client: Digital Extremes Character Layout: Colin Tan 2D Animation: Shane Dering 2D Animation Lighting and Render: Simon Duclos FX Animation: Christophe Madeleine, Louve Karnas Compositing: Maxime Temple #FXAnimationBreakdown

✦ 3D Model ⋮ showcase ✦ ── .⟢ for Alettie 💖 I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work on the cutest magical girl design ₊‧°𐐪♡𐑂°‧₊ It was a project full of new challenges for me, and I had to most fun trying to figure out how to best express everything in 3D! My favourite parts have got to be the layered skirt physics and the flounce modelling!! There are still many things I want to showcase for this model (details, mahou props✨, wings animation🪽) so I’ll be posting about them thru the week, I hope y’all won’t get sick of me 🥹 #by_KARIHA

⚽ Day 44 of building my soccer/football game solo in Unreal Engine. Tonight, we solved an animation bug that was occuring when blending animations together. Can you spot the difference between the two animation clips (right drag back versus left drag back? 🐛BUG: All animations rotated the player mesh (character body), but the capsule underneath (invisible box) never turned at all. 🎞️At the end of the animation, you'd see the player facing the direction where the animation begun on frame 0, then flick to where I was moving the left analog stick. This was resolved with a tool I built which moves the rotation to the invisible box instead. The same animations play, but now the game knows that the character's capsule has turned with an animation. #indiedev #gamedev #soccer #football #unrealengine

Fun fact: This animation was close on becoming an unfinished one because while doing the clean-up I lost the tip of the pen and as I couldn't find the spare ones I had to use the tip of my old tablet pen that kept falling off every 5 minutes. I almost give up

i'm loving this new side project, war atlas, by J.T. Trollman. it's an interactive cartography of every named war in human history. if you're a history buff that appreciates a great ui, you should definitely check this out. one of my favorite things about ai is that i now get to experience people's niche interests in the exact format they think is best. if the world is a museum of passion projects, we're about to get a million new amazing exhibits.

For the past month, I’ve spent almost every day showing photographers the largest colony of nesting ospreys in the southeast, around 300 pairs on average. It’s been an amazing experience to share this part of the ospreys’ life cycle with so many people. I’m currently planning The Ultimate Osprey Photo Trip for 2026, and I can’t wait to share this one with everyone. Ospreys have such big feet, and of course, huge talons! They also seem to favor certain branches for perches. You can easily see this branch is definitely a favorite! Such amazing creatures.

We are extremely proud of this achievement that we have accomplished together. We truly risked our lives to reach this place, as it is located very close to military deployment areas, and the road was extremely dangerous at every moment. We have now started our new project to provide clean drinking water, and this truck is heading to one of the most dangerous and heavily affected areas. The work is exhausting and extremely tiring, but the need for clean water cannot wait. Displaced families are facing a severe shortage of safe drinking water, and more people are relying on this support every day. Today, we are launching water truck number 11 as part of this project, continuing despite all challenges and risks. Please share this post and follow our organization’s account to support the continuation of this life-saving work.

Fallout Chrysalis Animation Showoff 👀 My biggest project to date, and I am super happy with how it turned out 🥰. Let me know what you think of it! I am eager to hear what you all think! Story: Chrysalis' stone imprisonment crumbled after more than a millennium at the hands of the Equestrian Royalty. When it finally broke apart, the Queen found herself in what seemed to be the ruins of the Canterlot Castle gardens, or what was left of them. After more than a millennium without love, Chrysalis was practically starving. For her survival, she began draining any of the scavengers and creatures she could get her hands on. One of these happened to be a vault dweller from a nearby underground vault. She would have loved to ask him more questions about this land, but her hunger was too great, and the dweller was left as an empty husk after he was drained of everything he had to give. Given her rather nude appearance, she decided to take what he no longer needed: his vault suit and a Pip-Boy, a device that would soon come in handy as she made her way to the vault dweller's home, Vault 69. #mlpart #blenderart #Yiff #Fallout #animation

Day 80 of learning how to script on Roblox! 👀✨ Today I created a script for whenever my character goes to sleep in the bed, the clock time will turn to night time and there will be sheep emitting above their head! I actually had a really hard time trying to find a way to set the character placement on the bed... I originally tried to use an animation to make it work but it was just a huge mess... huge credits to H2M Blox on YouTube! I used their video guide to help bring this together 😅 I feel like there is a way more optimized way to do this, anyone have any tips? 🤔

OMG!!! May ganitong moment pala si Dustin with Direk Mae. Nakikita ko lang to Dati with her and Joshua Garcia. Konti man ang pakilig ng DB scenes sa LYSB, I will forever stand by what I said...I’m grateful this movie chose to highlight Dustin’s acting range. Hearing Direk Mae say that Dustin was great, that every emotion he showed was real, speaks volumes. Directors don’t say that lightly. They say it when an actor gives more than what was asked..when the emotions don’t feel acted, but lived. That alone is more than enough reason for me to believe he was right to say YES to this project. I’ve always said my prayer for Dustin is simple..that he works with people in this industry who will challenge and teach him. LYSB gave him that space... and you can see how it shaped him. This is the kind of project that doesn’t just add to a filmography... It builds an actor. And Dustin? He showed that he’s here not just to be seen, but to be taken seriously. I’m proud. I’m grateful. Looking through old projects... Some time ago, I was working on a project that was 1st person. Typical issue: weapons penetrating into walls when close. In a deferred pipeline, everything is rendered from one camera, so classic multiple camera and multi FOV tricks are problematic. Clever line trace and IK systems to animate arms and weapons out of the way were off the table. I am sure that I am by far not the first to think of this, but my solution was to flatten the character along the camera's forward vector in a shader. Here it is viewed from 3rd person so you can see how it works. Fun. #gamedev #unrealengine
