An HC-130J Combat King II from the 71st Rescue Squadron ran air-to-air refueling drills with A-10 Thunderbolts from the 74th Fighter Squadron over Moody AFB, Georgia. The A-10 is a short-range aircraft built for close air support. Aerial refueling extends its reach dramatically and keeps it in the fight far longer than its fuel capacity normally allows.
