One potential question here is, did the clock actually register the 10ths/100ths of a second between 0.0 sec and 1.0 sec the way it did for the time between 1.0 sec and 2.0 sec, and so on. If the :01 of the stadium clock goes to :00 even when there is .9 or less seconds remaining, there was still potentially more than no time left on the actual timekeeping. However, it's not clear that makes a difference if the hard protocol had been kept as per NCAA rules cited in the MAC appeal. Regardless, here's a game wherein a team should DEFINITELY not have been given another play when the plain reading of the Official NCAA rulebook is applied.
