Michaela Ponce is a hideous bully who deserves whatever civil or career penalties arise from her verbal assault on this elderly woman. However, if you believe in our constitution, this interaction falls within the boundaries of free speech. The woman was not harmed and was able to walk away freely from the encounter. I see some MAGA comments saying Ponce should be jailed, but you can’t believe in free speech only when it suits you and it would be a terrible precedent to set for a future Democrat administration that will be itching to jail conservatives for speech crimes.
