It is institutional self-harm dressed up as moral superiority. When the people with arrest powers and the power to shape policy start denying basic human biology, public trust collapses and actual policing suffers. DEI was sold as fairness. In practice it has become a protected racket that rewards narrative over substance and punishes anyone who notices. Arday’s resignation will be spun as an isolated failure or, worse, as proof of some racist conspiracy. It is neither. It is simply one more data point in a long, ugly pattern. The iceberg is much larger than one Cambridge professor, and it is still expanding. Nothing works properly when competence is optional and ideology is mandatory.
