who was the runner. I'm going to say hit. Doesn't seem routine to me. if he felt he was rushed by the runner then give a hit to the runner.

Obvious error unless there was literally 0 chance to get the runner. This is the pros. At the very least you're supposed to field that and make a throw I don't know why people baby these fielders so much and have such low expectations of them
