Holy smokes! Star Wars in German definitely hits different...

Even in English, this scene gives off huge Nazi vibes, but in German, holy smokes!

Die deutsche Stimme ist die gleiche wie die deutsche Stimme von Howard Wolowitz aus „The Big Bang Theory“. Daher klingt es leider übertrieben lächerlich. Das passt nicht. Hätte mir da eine männlichere tiefere Stimme gewünscht. Zum Beispiel die von Klaus-Dieter Klebsch.

It still blows my mind that the actor (Domhnall Gleeson) is the same actor who played "Clan Junkie" from Dredd.

That just one thing totally wrong with the sequels. The imperial officers were never rabid, foaming at the mouth psychos. In the original trilogy, they were totally understated. Unaffected.

I watched it in a German movie theater and they had a bar at the back. I do not speak German and did not get the word of what is going on but day was long and beer was good.

I mean The galactic empire is pretty inspired by Nazi Germany so makes since it hits a bit different in german lol

I believe they should've kept this part in German and just used Subtitles in every version. it would rate much higher.

The problem is that the person voicing him in Germany is the same as Wolowitz from The Big Bang Theory. So when I listen to him, I just hear him call for his Mama.

I hate German dubbing with a passion. They are too stupid to make it sound organic. Pay attention to it and you will realize that literally EVERY voice sounds like from a studio. Which it obviously comes from but why no effort to sound organic? Because Germans are used to it.
