Holyshit I accidentally found this game such a useful tool for lighting references. Good things are, it can set up two light sources with different color, one ambient light, on fully customized characters. Game is inZOI and it’s free on steam.

lighting is one of the few things you can let your imagination go wild with... reference is good for understanding but don't just copy it people. lighting irl bounces of many different objects and is very unique with every environment.

Ideal for capturing the lighting from real photos and creating renderings with backplates. I had planned any AI implementation for later, but thanks to Ulrich Forkel for sharing great resources, I couldn't postpone playing with it. #threejs #webgl #ai

$I am having a lot of fun with this ThreeJS game. Will probably be spending more time on this cosy flyer game for #vibejam And btw, shaders are awesome! I highly recommend anyone building a 3D game to add some shaders to make your game look good. Here's a quick primer on the different types of shaders you can tell your AI to level up your game's graphics: - Noise-based shader for water refractions or shimmer - Fresnel shader for a nice rim lighting effect on your 3D game objects - Post-processing shader to change your game's color scheme dynamically - Post-processing shaders like the VHS effect that @levelsio use for the Drone flyer game - Shader effect to make the trees sway or objects wobble - and many more uses Shaders are incredibly versatile and useful. I would recommend you to go YT to check out some shader basics videos and come up with more creative uses for them!$

I made a little gaussian splat game demo set in a world created in World Labs Marble, using three.js + spark + crashcat + navcat, and I made a video about it! On the World Labs youtube channel now: + project github: My interest in game programming started from a place of curiosity after watching videos like SimonDev's three.js game tutorials. I tried to create something of the same spirit for this one :) It's a tour of the building blocks and concepts that come together to build a browser game inside a gaussian splat scene. It covers: - rendering gaussian splats with three.js + spark with level of detail - splat collision mesh generation - splat navigation mesh generation - adding a first person character controller - baking light probes for a gaussian splat to get environment lighting on characters - casting shadows from characters on a proxy mesh - character pathfinding + navigation mesh queries for quest ribbons - a silly prototype fetch quest in the game world to find the missing spaceship keys I don't think the game will win any awards 😛 but I hope it is a fun & useful game technology tour. Enjoy!

One of my personal favorite things about Destiny was it’s skyboxes.. Nearly every destination in the game has a full Day/Night cycle with near scientifically accurate lighting and orbits. I recall finding Europa moving in Io’s skybox before Beyond Light and being blown away.

I have a 0.90KD… I have never had such a bad KD on any cod ever. Every game I play on Bo6 is like this. It’s impossible to snipe on. OCE servers are too sweaty and the SBMM is broken. I’m trying to have fun but every single game is like this. Enjoy the montage of this one game.

Our modern build environment is dominated by short-wavelength light from LEDs and fluorescent lighting. This can have deleterious effects on the mitochondria. Adding to this effect is the lack of long-wavelength light from sources like the sun and incandescent lighting bulbs. These long light wavelengths have a beneficial effect on mitochondria function and overall human health. The lack of them in our modern built environment, seems to be impacting public health in a delirious fashion. Two recent papers to read: 1. 2.

On the surface it's a simple 2D action platformer, but every boss fight suddenly transforms into a one-on-one fighting game complete with special move mechanics.
