As a property investor, home owner and property investment coach I agree largely with the assertions in this video especially when it comes to home ownership. One needs to have a different reason for buying instead of renting. Buying a home with the hope that you will get a return from it is a long shot. There are probably better ways of making money rather than locking it in a house. When buying Property as an investment just make sure it’s positive cash flowing from day one.

this one is such a vibe

Never listen to this nonsense that you must rent. If you qualify for a bond, buy!

Why when ownership is more expensive than renting

You'll still need to have a roof over your head. After 20 years of paying rent (say 80% of what you would have paid with a bond), you still do not have a property. Now you are 55 starting to think about using your retirement savings to build a house. Each to their own though.

Its not make sure my sister. The banks are the biggest winners here

That’s a fight we will never win

The argument in this video is one-sided. How is better to rent the property than buy it? Buying a freestanding house is far cheaper than buying in a complex. I can go on and on and on…

I bought a property, stayed in it for 8 years.. there after, I rented it out ever since, so it was overpaying itself.. I paid it off in 17 yrs.. Now, I take home R3700 after levies and rates.

That’s the way to do it. Did you also buy your home

Levies are rediculous, they so annoying, they are the one that makes this whole thing expensive

Worse, some people don’t pay
