Homeschool students read Tolkien, Thomas Jefferson, & Marcus Aurelius before public school students even learn how to read, yet every other week, another TV network sends their shills to attack homeschoolers. The System is terrified that our kids will be able to think critically.

UNBELIEVABLE - OUR YOUNG CANNOT READ CURSIVE - Really - This is almost unbelievable. BUT - Then they may not be able to read type written words either - We keep reading articles that say students can't read - How do they expect to succeed in life? What has the Teacher's unions and "woke" teachers done to our children - They have concentrated on things that only cause our children to have a need to protest and other things that make no difference in this world. It's true - too many times students can't read or write when they graduate high school - First of all - I want to know how they graduated and have learned nothing about anything that will help them succeed in life.

Public school socialization is an absolute disaster. The entire experience is supposed to be about academic development but nearly every school in America develops a culture of “reading being for nerds.” to the point in which the majority of public school students don’t ever actually read books. Every honest teacher will tell you this is true.

Minnesota used to be one of the best educated states in the country. Now only half our kids can read or do math at grade level. That is heartbreaking, and it is happening to children across every community in this state. Minnesota's kids deserve better than this. It is time to stop protecting the system and start protecting the students.

People are skeptical that teachers don't know their students can't read. Yes, teachers know students can't decode words. But teachers have been taught that words aren't necessary for "reading". Here's a teacher teaching kids to "read" by looking at pictures. In fact the word they're "reading" is covered up so the students can't even see it! And listen to how she describes it at the end of the video: "reading and analyzing text"

Glad to see the Kentucky General Assembly override Gov. Beshear’s veto. I wrote this legislation. Governor Beshear either doesn't understand it or is lying. Either way he's choosing unions over students. First, private scholarships, not state dollars, will flow to students. It will cost Kentucky nothing while giving every child in Kentucky the education that best fits their needs. Second, public school kids will benefit too. The law allows funds to flow to special-needs students attending public school who may need additional money for after-school tutoring services.

Our students shouldn't be terrified of just walking into their schools. HB836 makes it clear that no child will be denied a free public education because of citizenship status. Public schools exist to educate our children, not to police our families. Schools should be safe places where kids can focus on learning, growing, and building their futures, not places where families fear deportation. Together we are guaranteeing every child in Virginia the right to an education. 📚
