The main disadvantage of Chinese phones (and Chinese products in general) is that they still feel like knockoff products. I'll admit that the quality and ideas are there, but they can't help being "inspired by..", or direct copies of other stuff. Even from other Chinese products.

They out-appled Apple. Something like this would have justified the price of the joke we got as the iPhone Air.

Design inspiration aside, the spec-to-form-factor balance is what makes this interesting. Thin, light, and still flagship-level isn’t easy to pull off.

I think we need to be clear that when Chinese manufacturers make phones, there’re no design languages, but mere mimicking in the disguise of “being inspired”. If you make an orange phone that looks like iPhone because iPhone 17 pro has an orange option, then you are just lame…🤷‍♂️
