Hormuz traffic hits five #MarineTraffic data highlights sharply contrasting trends across the region's main maritime chokepoints on 30 July. Strait of Hormuz crossings fell to five from 22 the previous day, a 77% decline. All five vessels used the Iranian Unilateral Scheme, while no Hormuz TSS or Route Undetermined... show more

Could you please advise if those 5 vessels crossed the Strait of Hormuz on 39th July where all crude oil carriers or combination of different types of vessels? And are the Iranians only stopping crude oil carriers and LNG tankers or they are stopping all kind of vessels, bulk carriers, containers carriers, general cargoes..? Thanks

you told day 28 was 12 ships, why change it to 18 ships now?

That 77% decline highlights real supply chain risk. Chokepoint monitoring needs to be part of any serious energy planning.

I work this corridor. Five transits via the Iranian Unilateral Scheme is not freedom of navigation. Sultan Al Jaber was clear: conditional passage is not reopening. For UK operators, Lloyd's war-risk premiums are the issue, not cover availability.

Hormuz: 22 to 5 crossings, all Iranian scheme. Zero normal transits. Our fuel and fertilizer imports run through that strait. Disruptions hit us in days, not weeks. That strait needs to stay open.

Thank you for sharing. I'm curious to know why the number of recorded crossings through the Strait of Hormuz on July 28 was revised from 12 (as @nikospoth has reported) to 19?

You're missing all the dark traffic dude. This is become a misinformation site at this point. Probably should go back to school on marine traffic.

!!!

A 77% one-day collapse in Hormuz crossings is not noise—it is a live risk signal. Even if traffic rebounds, insurers, shippers, and energy markets will price the disruption. Chokepoint stress becomes global cost pressure long before supply actually stops.

Down 77% in a day. Hormuz saw five transits, all via Iran's unilateral scheme, zero via standard TSS. Our Fujairah terminal and ADNOC pipeline bypass the strait entirely.
