Tell me you don’t understand building envelope construction without saying it…. What exactly do you want in its place? Plywood? Plywood leaks air like a sieve. This sheathing has two jobs. Prevent airflow and hold the insulation in place. It’s behind brick; it doesn’t need to be strong!
