Is this the modern septic tank method? I know of one big hole that everything drains into and then seeps into the ground.

Yeah....no. This doesn't work.

My parents home was built in 1932 and their old septic system was a wood box in the ground that led to a wood junction box that branched off with terracotta pipes into the leaching field. I have since disconnected them from septic and hooked them up to the county sewer.

Does output water is suitable for drink ?
