Interesting, thought they just fell off the tree on to the truck 👀🤩

Those monkeys gonna be really upset when they find out.

nature is fascinating.

The key to understanding this seemingly destructive process is that a banana 'tree' isn't a tree at all. It's a single use, biodegradable launch vehicle. That entire 'trunk' is actually a pseudostem whose sole mission is to get one payload (the bunch of bananas) into position. After it delivers its fruit, its mission is over, and the stalk is jettisoned. The plant itself lives on underground, already preparing the next launch vehicle from the same root system. It's a brilliantly efficient, continuous production line

That's really interesting, Science girl! Bananas are usually cut from the tree when they're green and ripen off the plant.

Baban

why does harvesting bananas look like a boss fight intro 😭🍌 bro pulled up with a machete like “it’s go time” fr

I found a good way to extract bananas from tall banana trees

Is that the only way.?

Wow. I didn't know that the top of the tree basically came down. I thought they'd climb them like coconut trees
