The deliberate removal of hostage posters in our city isn't just vandalism – it's an assault on our shared humanity. These posters – hung outside a synagogue – represent innocent people torn from their families: children, elderly, and civilians. Those who tear them down are complicit in erasing their stories and suffering. This calculated cruelty has no place in our community. When we normalize such acts, we chip away at the very foundations of our civil society. We must stand united against this callousness. This is not the Vancouver I know and love – we should be better than this.
