How can you top this sequence. I still think about this once a week. Fighting the black dragon above the clouds with this haunting music and the sky fortress above. Drakengard is an unforgettable game.

You can tell the producer of Ace Combat 3 worked on this game, but the gameplay is almost secondary to how everything else is just hitting me like a freight train going at full speed. The way things are coming together in Drakengard is so brilliant

The way Inuart tries to sing her name but can’t do to his pack is one of the most tragic things in the franchise

I am not even joking when I say this but we need AAA games to lock in for once and give us a high budget dragon riding game like the Panzer Dragoon games.

Yoko Taro is refined Suda 51. YT says 'I want to make a melancholy action game with interesting mechanics that feels like a fighting game at times. But then I want make the perfect Panzer Dragoon Star Fox sequence where you're a dragon. Not sure how I'm gonna fit it in yet."

I borrowed this off a mate back then (own it myself now) and thoroughly enjoyed the game. I quite liked the second one as well even if it was a different dev.

I feel old asf for saying this but this was the only game for the ps2 that came off as a bad looking game but amazingly great fun. I played the the 2nd one which pales in comparison to the original. There’s something about those age of games that makes nostalgia true
