I am not sure but as I know it, this is only the rustproof. When you paint like this, you get different thickness which is not high quality. They paint with spraypaint to get the finish you want.

That initial dipping is for the Ecoat (Electrocoat) used to add a very thin layer for rust inhibiting. The actual process is usually about 9 baths along that process with the last been a rinse - as the Ecoat is applied electrically and any excess is recovered before backing. The initial dipping is degreasing including a phosphate dip.

This is called "dipping" or "submersion painting." This method is sometimes used for applying an even and comprehensive coat of paint to the entire body of a car. Here's an overview of how this process generally works: 1. **Preparation:** - The car is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for painting, ensuring there is no dust, grease, or contaminants on the surface. 2. **Masking:** - Certain areas that should not be painted, like windows and certain parts of the interior, are masked off to protect them from the paint. 3. **Dipping:** - The car is slowly and carefully lowered into a large tank or well containing the paint. The paint used in this process is often water-soluble and designed for submersion. 4. **Water Rinse:** - After the car is fully submerged and raised back out of the tank, it may undergo a water rinse to remove any excess paint. 5. **Drying:** - The car is then moved to a drying area where excess water is removed, and the paint is allowed to cure and harden. 6. **Quality Check and Finishing:** - The car undergoes a quality check to ensure an even and consistent coat of paint. Any imperfections may be addressed through additional refinishing processes. This submersion painting method is efficient and can provide a uniform finish. However, it is not as common as traditional spray painting methods. Each approach has its advantages and considerations based on factors like cost, efficiency, and the type of paint used.

That’s not paint, those are the steps between bare metal and paint where it gets sealant, rust-proofing, powder coated, primed for paint, etc.
